Russia has brought down Ukrainian planes march in different regions yesterday evening, at a time when the US administration intends to announce a new plan to arm Kiev with offensive weapons, and the Senate will put a bill that allows President Donald Trump to impose severe sanctions on Russia, after his dissatisfaction with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a post on the Telegram application today that the air defense units destroyed 11 Ukrainian drones during the night over Russian areas and the Crimea and the Black Sea.

The authorities of Russia at the Zabarujia Nuclear Energy Station also stated that Ukrainian drones attacked yesterday evening a training center in the station that is controlled by Russia in Ukraine.

The administration said on the Telegram application that Ukraine used 3 drones, and no serious damage was recorded.

Russian forces took control of the station in the first weeks of their war in Ukraine in February 2022. The two parties are repeatedly exchanged charges of shooting or carrying out activities that could lead to a nuclear accident.

The station is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Although it is suspended from work, it still needs electricity to maintain the cooling of its nuclear fuel.

In another context, the Ukrainian security service announced yesterday that it had killed people suspected of Russian agents responsible for the assassination of Ukrainian intelligence officer.

Colonel Ivan Furonic, who was working on the Ukrainian security service, was killed last Thursday in Kiev.

The Ukrainian Security Agency said that it had carried out an operation in the Kiev area to arrest the suspects in the murder of Furonic, who were determined as agents of the Russian security apparatus.

Axius reported, quoting two familiar sources, that Trump is expected to announce today a new plan to arm Ukraine with offensive weapons, in a significant retreat from his previous position.

The two sources stated that the plan, which was proposed by the Ukrainian President during the NATO summit two weeks ago, would likely include long -range missiles capable of reaching the depth of Russia.

Axius also quoted Republican Senator Lindsey Graham that Trump is really angry with Putin and his announcement on Monday will be very aggressive.

Trump announced yesterday evening that he would send Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine, indicating that it is necessary to protect Ukraine from Russian attacks because Putin “speaks gently and then bombs everyone in the evening.”

In the same context, German Defense Secretary Boris Peporius is heading to Washington today to meet US Defense Secretary Beit Higseth in an effort to obtain clarifications on US weapons supplies to Ukraine, missile deployment plans and the future of American forces levels in Europe.

Pistorius is likely to have a warm reception after Germany, the owner of the largest economy in Europe, has recently become a major player in the largest military mobilization operation for NATO since the Cold War, after a delay in defensive spending on the rest of the countries for decades.

In a meeting with Higseth at the Pentagon, Pentagon will discuss Berlin’s offer to pay the price of US Air Defense Patriot systems for Ukraine, a proposal announced by Counselor Friedrich Mertz week ago.

On the other hand, members of the US Senate announced on Sunday their intention to launch a joint bill between the Democratic and Republican parties that allow President Trump to impose severe sanctions on Russia.

Trump hinted that he was open to the Penal Code in light of the increasing disintegration of the relationship between him and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

In the same context, André Yermak, director of the Ukrainian president’s office, said that Keith Kelog, the US President’s envoy to Ukraine, arrived in Kiev today to discuss discussion of security and sanctions against Russia.

“Defense, promoting security, weapons, sanctions, protecting our people, and enhancing cooperation between Ukraine and the United States … there are a number of issues that will be discussed,” he wrote on the Telegram application.
