Villages like Cudalbi have seen water levels rise up to 2 metres, damaging more than 700 homes. Volunteers and authorities are helping to remove the mud, and some affected residents are able to receive vouchers for new appliances.
Despite the destruction, the community is pulling together and the support of volunteers is helping to ease the burden of reconstruction.
