The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper described the situation of Israel as Israel reaching the lowest level in its international position ever, and quoted an Israeli foreign ministry official as saying that Tel Aviv is facing a real tsunami that will worsen “and we are in the worst situation that we have ever passed, and the world is not with us.”
This came according to a detailed report of the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper on Tuesday evening, which touched on the measures taken on the international scene against Israel against the background of its continued war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, most notably Britain’s suspension of the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement with Israel, which the newspaper said it may have serious economic implications.
According to the newspaper, 592 days after the start of the war in Gaza, Israel reached the lowest level in its international position, as it threatened three of its most prominent ally in the world, Britain, France and Canada, on Monday evening by imposing sanctions if the war continued in Gaza.
The report of the Israeli newspaper added that after that, less than 24 hours later, Britain announced the abolition of negotiations on a future free trade agreement with Israel, the summoning of the Israeli ambassador to London, Tzipi Hutovili, to the Tawbikh session, and imposed sanctions on a number of settlers.
The newspaper laid the American position towards Israel, with its insistence on continuing the war of genocide.
In this context, Yediot Aharonot said that White House sources expressed its frustration with the Israeli government, noting that Israel is the only party that does not work to advance towards a comprehensive deal.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directed the return of the senior members of the negotiating delegation in the Qatari capital, Doha, and to keep technical crews after he insisted on the continuation of the extermination war on Gaza.
Serious economic effects
The newspaper stressed that the statements and steps that are currently taken against Israel may also have serious economic effects
She explained that Britain, for example, is considered one of the most important trade partners of Israel, as the volume of trade exchange with it is about nine billion pounds, which makes it the fourth largest commercial partner for Israel
She emphasized that the agreement that London suspended negotiating with Israel is very vital for the super technology industry, and it was supposed to include areas that were not previously listed, according to the same source.
The newspaper considered that the European threat to cancel the partnership agreement with Israel is considered unprecedented, and although Israel is estimated that the possibility of its cancellation is low, the possible damage is estimated at tens of billions, which makes the matter a very extreme economic.
Pose state
In addition, the Prime Minister of France, Francois Bayro, stated on Tuesday evening that the three countries, France, Britain and Canada, decided together to oppose what is happening in the Gaza Strip, and will recognize jointly a Palestinian state.
Yediot Aharonot described this unprecedented threat from three major Western powers as a more practical declaration of formulas so far against Israel, and even makes it “seems to be a state pariah on the international scene.”
She concluded that Israel, with the increasing pressure on it to stop the war and its insistence on its continuation, is now completely isolated on the international scene.
The newspaper considered that one of the most disturbing matters regarding the situation of Israel on the international scene is the American reaction to the recent developments.
In this context, she indicated that the United States, which has stood repeatedly alongside Israel and defended it strongly, is now silent.
She wondered about the American position if the demands of the war to stop the UN Security Council arrive, and whether Washington would use the veto (veto) as it did in the past.
In this context, the newspaper said that although the Trump administration stated on several occasions that it will defend Israel, but the various developments and increasing tensions may affect the American decision this time, which raises a state of uncertainty about the extent of Washington’s willingness to continue its support for Israel in the international arena.
Real tsunami
Yedioth Ahronoth quoted a source in the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying that Israel is facing a real tsunami would get worse, as he put it.
“We are in the worst situation we have ever reached. This is much worse than the world disaster is not with us. “
The source pointed out that “the world has not seen since November 2023 except for Palestinian children dead and devastating homes,” noting that Israel does not provide any solution or a plan for the next day, only death and destruction.
The source concluded with the warning of what he described as a “silent boycott”, which he said was present, “but it would widen and intensify and should not reduce its danger,” and added that no one would want his name to be linked to Israel.
On Tuesday morning, the head of the opposition Israeli Democratic Party, Yair Golan, told the official Hebrew Broadcasting Authority that “the rational state does not wage a war against civilians (the Palestinians), does not kill children as a hobby, and does not pursue the policy of displacement of the population.”
With American support, since October 7, 2023, Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, which left more than 175,000 Palestinians between a martyr and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, along with hundreds of thousands of displaced people.
