The World Health Organization announced the exit of the last hospital that provides medical care with heart disease and cancer patients in the Gaza Strip from service after an Israeli attack.

And the publication of the organization’s general manager, Tedros Adhanom Gebrisos, on the “X” platform that the attack that took place last Tuesday “hit the European Hospital in Khan Yunis severely damaged and made it impossible.”

He continued, “The hospital has become out of service,” explaining that a team from the World Health Organization was urgently evident during the attack.

The organization’s general manager pointed out that “the closure of the hospital has stopped vital services, including neurosurgery, cardiac care and cancer treatment, which are services that are not available throughout the other in the Gaza Strip.”

27 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli raids launched by the occupation army last Tuesday in various regions of the Gaza Strip, including 16 martyrs in the European Hospital and its surroundings in Khan Yunis.

An Israeli media claimed that the bombing targeted the assassination of Muhammad al -Sinwar, the leader of the Al -Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

According to the latest statements of the government media office in Gaza, which was issued on May 8, 38 hospitals, 81 health centers and 164 health institutions were destroyed, burned, or out of service during the extermination war.

Israel has continued a widespread genocide against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, including killing, destruction, starvation and forced displacement, leaving more than 172 thousand Palestinian martyrs and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 11 thousand missing.
