Perhaps the most prominent sites where this happens now is the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation works without every day to make fundamental changes in the status quo in the Al -Aqsa Mosque and make a new reality on the ground; Using the shock that the whole world – not to mention the Palestinian people – is still living with the scenes of the catastrophic massacres in Gaza.
The last of these steps, which was taken by the occupation at the end of last April, prevented any mention of the name (Gaza) in the Al -Aqsa Mosque, whether in Friday sermons, supplication, or others, which foretells the occupation’s progress towards a catastrophe coming at all levels in the Al -Aqsa Mosque.
This comes within the escalating steps that the occupation has gone gradually during the past twenty years, and has escalated very sharply during the past two years, as the occupation authorities have established themselves at the end of 2023 real partners in the Al -Aqsa Mosque Affairs, after they were extracted from the Islamic Endowments Department, the Islamic exclusive to manage its affairs, and here it is today transferred to the dominance stage to manage the affairs of the Al -Aqsa Mosque, and achieve sovereignty Complete it.
But there is a fact that should be recognized, and not evading its responsibility in this aspect, which is the existence of a descending approach by the official and popular authorities in front of the occupation procedures; On the pretext of not colliding with him, and not giving him “excuses” to interfere violently in the affairs of the mosque!
In 2003, after three years of the decision of the Islamic Endowments Administration to prevent non -Muslims enter the Al -Aqsa Mosque after the outbreak of the Al -Aqsa uprising, the occupation decided separately to open the door of Moroccans to enter settlers and tourists from non -Muslims into the mosque, without coordination with the Endowment Department or approval from it. At that time, the occupation was not faced more than the non -practical oral protest.
Ten years after the normalization of this matter, which has become a practical reality, we found the occupation to create around the year 2010 the penalty of prevention from entering the Al -Aqsa Mosque first periods first against the well -known activists in Al -Aqsa, and when he did not find a real reaction, he made the matter to include officials in the Islamic Endowments Department itself, and even the matter became worse when it reached the point of removing the highest official Islamic figure in Jerusalem from the Al -Aqsa Mosque in 2019 Islamic Endowments Council.
Over time, most of the guards and sixth of the Al -Aqsa Mosque, whom any movement is ranked as a “inconvenience” for settlers, has become prohibited from entering the mosque.
With the silence continued to do so, the occupation began to interfere in the appointments of the guards, employees and managers in the Al -Aqsa Mosque by announcing his refusal to appoint a person to a specific position in the Al -Aqsa Mosque, and threatening to prevent his entry into the mosque.
The occupation was not satisfied with interventions in the administration only, in the field of the general space of the Al -Aqsa Mosque, and after the settlers ’entry into the mosque was done as tourists and the presence of observers from the Al -Aqsa Mosque guards, with any person who opens his mouth or tries to utter any prayers or perform any religious rituals inside the Al -Aqsa Mosque, the numbers of the settlers and the way of their clothing and their movements have doubled without a response without a response A real action, with the exception of the Jerusalem in 2015, which could have resulted in a complete Israeli decline, had it not been for the intervention of the American administration, which led to an official Arab recognition of a serious change in the status quo in the Al -Aqsa Mosque, when the then US Secretary of State, John Kerry, announced that the status quo in Al -Aqsa includes that “Muslims have the right to pray in the Al -Aqsa Mosque, and the Jews have the right Once in modern history, after their visits were a violation and without right.
This is what gave the occupation a great moral boost that made it impose the temporal division between Muslims and Jews that began an attempt to impose it in 2015, until the matter came during the year 2022 to prevent Muslims from entering the Al -Aqsa Mosque at other times of prayer, specifically at the times when settlers are located inside the mosque during their daily incursions.
As usual, there was no official reaction to this. The matter evolved in the middle of 2023 and a member of the Knesset is asking for the Likud (Amait Halevi) for the first time as a proposal in the Knesset to divide the Al -Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews.
Although the events of the current war on the Gaza Strip were supposed to lead to slowing the Israeli progress in Al -Aqsa due to the preoccupation with the war, we found the Minister of National Security Extremist Etamar bin Ghaffir taking wide steps inside the Al -Aqsa Mosque, taking advantage of the trauma shock caused by the Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip, so he announced allowing settlers to establish all their religious rituals in publicly inside the Al -Aqsa Mosque, The Jewish presence inside the mosque turns into the presence of prayers and worship, not a visit, as Kerry’s understandings were in 2015.
This dangerous step did not receive any official or popular reaction! This silence seduced the Israeli government, and it became interfering even in the definition of Muslims, and the occupation police began to exclude non -Palestinians such as the British and Canadians and prevent them from entering the prayer on the pretext that they are “tourists” that should enter into the times of Muslim prayer!
And now, with the silence on interfering regarding the worshipers, the occupation began to interfere in the same prayer, so he sent to the Islamic Endowments Administration an order to prevent the supplication of Gaza in the Al -Aqsa Mosque or mention the name “Gaza” in Friday sermons inside the mosque, and this means that the occupation is no longer a partner in the administration of the mosque only, but has become the owner of the upper hand, as it has interfered at the heart of the Islamic religion.
The calamity here is the practical response that we saw despite the official rejection of these orders, the name of Gaza in the sermons of Friday did not mention the Al -Aqsa Mosque, not even when praying in three gaps until now, and the preachers were satisfied with vague general signals, after the occupation threatened any preacher mentioning the name of Gaza by preventing the entry of the Al -Aqsa Mosque, and with a fine of about 1500 USD, and the original response was to direct the preachers to mention the name of Gaza in the name Exceptional, nothing but because the occupation ordered that Gaza not to mention.
This approach in choosing not to confront the occupation, on the pretext of not being tempted by the situation in the Al -Aqsa Mosque, enshrines a major problem represented in traditional dealing with the Al -Aqsa Mosque in isolation from the existence of the occupation itself, and trying to blind against the reality of the occupation first, and from the occupation project in Al -Aqsa second, and limiting the Islamic presence to establishing religious rituals in a traditional way far from reality.
This is a big mistake, because it means that there is no project for the Arab official authorities in dealing with the Al -Aqsa Mosque, in exchange for a project that concerns the mosque with the occupation.
Al -Aqsa Mosque is not the “mosque of the neighborhood” until we deal with it in the manner of concessions for fear of preventing the preachers or not establishing Friday, but he is the brother of the Two Holy Mosques and specializes in all Muslims on the face of the earth, and therefore dealing with it is different from others, and what we can accept in other mosques we do not accept it.
This is what Sheikh Abdul Hamid Al -Sayyat understood in 1967 when he refused the intervention of the Israeli Ministry of Religions in Al -Aqsa affairs, and announced his famous slogan; “There is no prayer under the war” until the sheikhs and the sheikhs succeeded in removing the occupation from the mosque administration.
If we are silent on what is happening now, the occupation will develop its interventions to interfere in determining the permissible and prohibited prayers, and change the form of prayer in Al -Aqsa, then it will be encouraged by the long -awaited spatial division step.
Preventing supplication for Gaza or mentioning its name in the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque aims to remove Al -Aqsa from the current conflict equation and separate it from the rest of the Palestinian territories, and this is very dangerous; Because the entire Palestinian movement for twenty -five years was always centered around the Al -Aqsa Mosque, from the Al -Aqsa Intifada in 2000 to the Al -Aqsa Flood Operation in 2023.
This procedure also aims to completely separate Gaza from the conscience of Palestinian society, and to perpetuate the division of Palestinians into cantons, and the individual in Gaza at the present time.
The only solution to the dilemma of Al -Aqsa Mosque today is agitation, so what if all preachers are prevented from entering Al -Aqsa for Friday prayers and the Islamic Endowment Department announced that there are no preachers of the mosque to hold Friday prayers?
This matter will create a crisis in Jerusalem, and the larger is the way to solve. Rather, it was the only solution in several aggravating stations in the history of the modern Al -Aqsa Mosque, as happened in the gift of the tribes of the tribes in 2017 when the Jerusalemites and the Endowment Administration refused to enter the Al -Aqsa Mosque from the electronic gates and the closure of Bab Hatta, as well as in the gift of the Bab al -Rahma in 2019 when the Jerusalemites and the Endowment Administration insisted on opening the door of mercy to pray.
Otherwise, the electronic gates would have remained, and the door of Hatta was closed, and the door of mercy would now be a synagogue or outside the hands of Muslims, such as the door of the Moroccans and the retreat (the police station) in the dome of the Dome of the Rock.
The popular voice must be raised and the issue of the issue, so the supplication of Gaza by name is the least duty after this great betrayal, and the issue is not simple, and if we give up today again, we will be broken in Al -Aqsa in the end, and this problem has only one solution: the discipline of the occupation by praying to Gaza and mentioning it by name, whatever the pressures; And if the price of supplication for Gaza is a crisis in Jerusalem, then it will be … we may have failed enough.
