The Washington Post described the decision of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to introduce limited aid to the Gaza Strip as a “qualitative transformation” in the wake of public and hidden pressure from the administration of US President Donald Trump, which urged him for weeks to end the war.

She noted that close to Trump threatened Israel to abandon it if the war did not stop.

She added that Trump’s pressure increased as Israel’s escalation of her bombing on Gaza, and its approach to the point of no return in the war.

It quoted an unnamed source as saying that Netanyahu has a way to end the war in the Knesset and in Israel, but it lacks political will.

Netanyahu had indicated earlier that it would allow “minimal” aid to enter Gaza to maintain American support.

He also pointed out that while Israel is planning to control “all” Gaza, he was forced to prevent collective starvation in the Strip “for practical and diplomatic reasons.”

President Trump stated during his tour in the region last week that “many people are starving” in Gaza, and Israel excluded his visit program and deals that signed and exceeded trillion dollars.

The agreement is part

On the other hand, the newspaper “Israel Hume” quoted officials as saying that the introduction of aid to Gaza is part of the agreement to release the prisoner Alexander Alexander, unlike Israeli statements.

The Israeli Channel 12 also reported that the introduction of aid to Gaza was the “price” imposed by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Washington to release Alexander.

She pointed out that the American presidential envoy Stephen Witkev and the hostage envoy Adam Buller “gave their speech against Israel” and Netanyahu was not able to retreat.

Foreign ministers of 22 countries, including France, Germany, Britain, Canada, Japan and Australia, have called on Monday – Israel to “allow aid to entry completely and immediately” to Gaza under the supervision of the United Nations and NGOs.

A joint statement issued by the German Foreign Ministry stated that the United Nations and humanitarian organizations “cannot support” the new mechanism for delivering aid in Gaza adopted by Israel.

The Israeli Foreign Minister also called on Gideon Saar to immediately pump aid to Gaza, due to the pressure from the European Union, and threats to impose sanctions, including from the United States.

Saar explained that other foreign ministers spoke to him in this regard, and that Democratic and Republican members in the US Congress went to the Israeli ambassador to Washington with the same message.

British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer described the situation in Gaza as unacceptable and unbearable, noting that his country is working with partners to find out what can be done in this regard.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Line, said that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is “unacceptable”, and demanded that the aid arrives to those who need it immediately, stressing that humanitarian aid “should never be politicized.”

9 trucks

The Israeli Army Radio said that 9 trucks loaded with children’s food and humanitarian aid will be entered into the Gaza Strip within the next few hours.

On the other hand, the Government Information Office in Gaza said that the promotion of the occupation has entered 9 aid trucks, even if it is true, it “represents only a drop in the sea of urgent humanitarian needs.”

He pointed out that it was assumed that 44,000 aid trucks were entrusted during the past 80 days, stressing that the sector needed 500 aid trucks and 50 fuel trucks per day, but the occupation did not allow the entry of one wheat grain for 3 months.

The occupation and the international community held fully responsible for the continuous humanitarian crimes, and also called for an immediate international action to open the crossings and introduce humanitarian needs before it is too late.

It is noteworthy that Israel continues for the 79th day of systematic starvation policy of about 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza, by closing the crossings in the face of relief and medical aid.

With American support, since October 7, 2023 genocide crimes in Gaza, have left more than 174,000 Palestinians between a martyr and a wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11 thousand missing, as well as hundreds of thousands of displaced people.
