In a new toll that reflects the rudeness of the crimes committed against civilians within 64 continuous days of bombing and destruction, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of 3340 Palestinians and the injury of 9357 others in the Gaza Strip, since the Israeli army resumed its aggression against the Strip on March 18.
The ministry said, today, Tuesday, that during this period, the Israeli raids targeted schools that house displaced and shelters of UNRWA, along with crowded residential neighborhoods, which led to horrific massacres, especially in the central regions and Gaza City.
According to the latest update of the Ministry of Health, the total number of martyrs increased since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023 to 53 thousand and 475 martyrs, while the number of wounded reached 121 thousand and 398 wounded.
The Ministry also indicated that there are more than 10,000 Palestinians missing, which is believed that a large number of them were martyred and buried under the rubble of destroyed buildings, while the fate of others is still unknown in light of the interruption of communication and the difficulty of accessing many affected areas.
In light of the scarcity of capabilities, civil defense teams and ambulance teams continue to work in very dangerous conditions, amid the collapse of the health system in most parts of the sector, and the exit of more than 80% of hospitals from the service, according to the Ministry of Health data.
International organizations warn that the sector lives one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the modern era, in light of the continued siege, preventing the introduction of adequate medical and food supplies, and the continued targeting of civilians in their places of displacement.
