The military expert, Major General Fayez Al -Duwairi, said that the ambush scenes carried out by the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation forces in the Al -Genaina neighborhood, east of Rafah (southern Gaza Strip), are a great success in the field performance.
Al -Duwairi explained – in his analysis of the military scene in Gaza – that the complex ambush shows the will to fight the Palestinian resistance, and its high ability to confront despite the difficult circumstances.
The military expert did not rule out the deployment of the Al -Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), a series of videos similar to ambushes carried out east of my cities east of Rafah and Khan Yunis, in light of the successive statements that it announced after the Al -Geneina neighborhood in Rafah.
The military expert pointed out that Al -Qassam selects the names of its ambushes in response to the names that the occupation gives to its ground operations inside the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of the war on the seventh of October 2023.
The ambush of the “doors of hell” in Rafah – according to Al -Duwairi – came in response to the repeated occupation feast with “opening the gates of hell to the Gazans”, just as Al -Qassam called an ambush east of Beit Hanoun north in the name of “breaking the sword” in response to the Israeli “pride and sword” operation.
Al -Qassam has been named after its specific ambushes during the war, such as “the righteous” and “the ambushes of death” before the ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners, and “the consequences of the victory of the blood of the Sinwar” and others.
Today, Wednesday, Al -Jazeera broadcast scenes showing a complex ambush carried out by the Al -Qassam Brigades against the occupation forces in Rafah, which includes the direct clash, and then lured an Israeli engineering force into a booby -trapped tunnel opening.
Likewise, the ambush shows the bombing of the tunnel eye by the Israeli force and the rhythm of its members between the dead and wounded, in addition to targeting a tank and military bulldozer with “Yassin 105” anti -armor shells.
According to Al -Duwairi, the ambush consists of 3 stages:
- The fighters exit from the tunnel eye and the direct engagement with the Israeli forces, then return to the tunnel.
- An Israeli path and dogs specialized in explosives, the lure of an Israeli force, and the bombing of the tunnel eye were bombed.
- Targeting rescue forces by hitting a tank and military bulldozer with two anti -shields.
He reaffirmed that the occupation has never controlled a specific area in the Strip, as control means to eliminate the resistance in an absolute way, which never happened.
He pointed out that the Palestinian resistance cannot reach the defensive Israeli forces except by “infiltration or tunnels network or exploiting weather conditions to carry out its attacks”, in an actual embodiment of “a war of drain in a guerrilla warfare.”
Al -Duwairi affirmed the ability and ingenuity of the resistance in luring the Israeli engineering forces specialized in dealing with tunnels, in addition to its ability to choose the method of detonating the explosive devices and its location through the tunnel opening or inside, as well as the size and type of the package.
On the other hand, there is a historical weakness of the occupation army at the minimum levels of its officers and soldiers, which was compensating for him with a sweeping superiority of the Air Force, according to the military expert.
He concluded that the occupation army cannot enter an area in Gaza, Lebanon or Syria, then withdraw from it without “a high blood tax that is attached to its soldiers and officers.”
The Palestinian resistance operations have recently escalated, and the Israeli army has admitted that 6 soldiers were killed – at least – since the aggression on Gaza resumed on March 18.
