European Council President Antonio Costa expressed his shock from the daily news received from Gaza, and the American Senator Chris van Holin considered that the United States is involved in the flagrant violation of international law in the besieged sector, amid many European criticisms of the Israeli genocide war.

European Council President Antonio Costa said in his account on the X platform that he is shocked by the daily news received from Gaza, and said that civilians in Gaza are starving and hospitals are bombed again and the violence must stop.

Costa added that the Israeli government should immediately lift the siege and ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid safely, fast and without obstacle, and pointed out that what is happening in Gaza is a human tragedy where an entire people is exposed to an overwhelming and invisible military force and where international law is systematically violated.

The President of the European Council confirmed that reaching a sustainable ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all Israeli detainees in the Strip has become more urgent than ever.

In turn, the American Senator Chris van Holin urged food to enter Gaza immediately, and accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of starving two million Palestinian civilians.

Senator recalled that food trucks are waiting for entry to Gaza, but they were prevented and children have already died because of the food ban on them. He considered that the United States is “complicit in this flagrant violation of international law in Gaza.”

A European movement escalating against war

These criticisms come to Israel and the United States amid an escalating European movement against the Israeli war on Gaza, where Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that his country is working on a new draft resolution that will be submitted to the United Nations General Assembly calling for Israel to stop its attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Sanchez demanded that “the humanitarian catastrophe immediately”, and demanded to double pressure on Israel “to stop the massacre in Gaza using all available legal means”, and the International Court decided on the extent of Israel’s commitment to deliver aid in addition to investigating the crimes that may be committed in the Strip, as well as moving forward in reaching a political solution that leads to the implementation of a two -state solution.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Taiani also urged Israel to stop its military attack on the Gaza Strip; He said in statements carried by his spokesman, that Palestinian civilians should not pay the price of the war anymore, stressing “ensuring the ceasefire and the liberation of the hostages.”

Germany fears the life of the detainees

On the other hand, the German Foreign Ministry said, in a statement, that the start of a new land attack by the Israeli army in Gaza is a reason for deep concern.

The Foreign Ministry reiterated that Israel has the right to defend itself within international law, but warned that expanding the Israeli attack “may endanger the hostage of the hostages who are still in the Strip, including German hostages, at risk.”

She added that “a wide military attack also carries the risk of the deterioration of the miserable humanitarian situation of the residents of Gaza and the remaining hostages,” and with it “a decrease in the possibility of reaching a permanent and urgent ceasefire.”

Intensifying genocide in Gaza

Amid all these criticisms, the Israeli occupation army announced yesterday, Saturday, expanding its collective destruction in the Gaza Strip under the name “Gideon”, which, according to the official Israeli Broadcasting Authority, aims to “occupy the entire Gaza Strip.”

During the past five days, Israel intensified the pace of genocide in the Gaza Strip and committed dozens of horrific massacres, in conjunction with the tour of US President Donald Trump in the region, during which the Palestinians of Gaza promised “a better future and ending hunger.”

During the 3 -day Trump tour and left from the UAE on its fourth day, the Israeli army killed more than 378 Palestinians, in a toll equivalent to about 4 times the number of victims during the four days preceding the tour, which amounted to about 100 martyrs, according to the Anatolia correspondent monitoring the data of the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Israel has committed an absolute American support since October 7, 2023, a collective genocide in Gaza that left about 174,000 Palestinians between a martyr and a wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
