The first researcher at the Al -Jazeera Center for Studies, Dr. Mekki, said that security and peace will not be achieved in the Middle East region unless the Israeli occupation stops its war on the Gaza Strip, noting that US President Donald Trump has not yet provided – during his Gulf visit – a vision and a resolution of the solution in Gaza.
He added: “Unless the war in Gaza stops, it cannot be asserted that the series of fire will stop, and security and peace in the region will remain threatened with Israeli spirit.”
Trump participated today, Wednesday, at the American Gulf Summit in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, which was opened by the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, with the participation of a number of leaders and officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, including the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishaal Al -Ahmad Al -Jaber Al -Sabah, and the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Saudi crown prince said during the opening speech: “We seek to stop the escalation in the region, end the war in Gaza, and find a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.”
In his speech to Al -Jazeera, Makki pointed out that the Gulf leaders spoke in their words during the summit about the permanent and radical solution to the Palestinian cause, but for the second day, the American president indicated in his speech to Gaza in a way that does not include a vision and a resolution of the solution, as he talked about the right of the Palestinian people to life and his refusal to kill and continue the war.
Trump also condemned the leaders in Gaza, which he accused – adding Makki – of killing and raping, and yesterday condemned the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and the researcher ruled out that Trump presented during his Gulf tour any solution on the Palestinian issue.
The Israeli press talked about a two -stage American project, a well -known project for the American envoy to the Middle East Stephen Witkeov, and if this project is achieved, aid may be entered into the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian issue is relatively resolved, according to the first researcher at the Al -Jazeera Center for Studies, who reminded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu still insists in return on the absolute military solution in Gaza.
Advanced step
On the issue of Syria, Makki considered that the lifting of sanctions and the upcoming meeting between Washington and Damascus foreign ministers is an advanced step that may have been waiting for months and years to achieve them, and he said that stability in Syria is threatened by Israeli attacks and other interventions, and “if Syrian American cooperation in the field of security and the exchange of embassies and the establishment of diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries will change that destination in the region.”
The US administration will realize – according to the same spokesman – that its step towards Syria is among the most important steps in the region.
The American President held a meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharah today, Wednesday, on the sidelines of the American Gulf Summit, in a meeting of the first of its kind between two American and Syrian presidents in 25 years.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who participated through video technology, and also attended by US Secretary of State Mark Rubio and his Syrian counterpart Asaad Al -Shaibani.
On the reflection of the American -Syrian rapprochement on the Israeli strategy, Makki believes that Netanyahu is keen to prevent the lifting of sanctions on Syria in order to keep the regime to weaken it for the purpose of dividing Syria, and therefore, the lifting of sanctions constitutes an important blow to the Israeli strategy in Syria, and Netanyahu goes away in anti -Syrian regime.
On the issue of Iran, Makki believes that the American president wants to agree with Iran, but he requires 3 things: that Iran stop the fertilization program, and to stop the so -called support of terrorism, in addition to addressing the file of its missile program, and it is likely that Tehran would accept concessions and that negotiations between it and Washington will end well.
