A Palestinian news agency revealed that the Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip “has reshaped the executive force similar to the force established in 2006 after the events of the chaos and security filters” that the sector witnessed at the time.
The news agency “Safa” revealed, according to what it said, security sources that “the strength of the new executive force is 5 thousand members of the security and police services, all of them were integrated within one framework to secure the internal front and restore security and stability.”
According to the same sources, “the force will immediately start dealing with thugs and thieves, who have recently tried to create a state of chaos by robbing some aid stores and attacking the shops and property of citizens.”
Using excessive strength
The sources also confirmed that “the formed force is delegated to take all necessary measures to extend security and order, including the use of excessive force in field dealings with escaping gangs and direct shooting even if it leads to injuries or killing a number of thugs and thieves who mourned for the occupation and consistent with its plans in the sector.”
The sector witnessed robbery operations carried out by armed groups, as special information obtained by Al -Jazeera Net revealed months ago that armed groups outside the law took advantage of the chaos that the Israeli occupation wanted to circulate in the Gaza Strip to steal the aid allocated to the Gaza residents.
Sources in the Ministry of Interior said last November that more than 20 Palestinians who called it “aid truck gangs” were killed in a security operation carried out by the police services in cooperation with tribal committees.
The Washington Post also quoted relief organizations as organizing gangs that steal aid in Gaza and operate freely in the areas of the Israeli army’s control.
