Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to return the negotiating team in Doha to Tel Aviv, while the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) accused Israel of deceiving the world and the lack of seriousness in reaching an agreement to stop the war in Gaza.

Netanyahu’s office said that “the high -level negotiating team will return to Israel to consult and remain the technical team, after about a week of contacts in Doha,” the Netanyahu office said.

Netanyahu’s office added that Israel agreed to the proposal of the American envoy Stephen Witkev to return the detainees based on the Witkeov plan, but Hamas is still sticking to his rejection so far.

For his part, Israeli Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, said that Hamas has only one option, which is the release of detainees, promising the movement to pay the price of what he described as its intransigence and confronting heavy fire.

Zamir also threatened to expand the ground operation, control areas and destroy the infrastructure of what he called terrorism, noting that if an agreement is reached, the Israeli army knows how to amend its activities accordingly.

In the first reaction, on its part, the Israeli prisoners’ families in Gaza said that “the return of the negotiating team from Doha confirms that the government does not have a real plan to stop the war, as it means losing the prisoners and drowning in Gaza and paying the soldiers a great price.”

The Israeli prisoners’ families added in a statement that the majority of the people support the return of all the prisoners even if it was at the expense of stopping the fighting in Gaza.

While a survey of the Israeli channel 13 revealed that 67% of the Israelis support a deal that ends the war and restores all the prisoners, while only 22% of the Israelis reject a deal that ends the war.

Deceive the world

On the other hand, Hamas accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of misleading global public opinion through what it described as false demonstration with the participation of an Israeli delegation in Doha negotiations that does not have the authority to reach an agreement, and without entering into any serious or real negotiations since last Saturday.

Hamas added – in a statement – that Netanyahu’s statements regarding the introduction of aid to the Gaza Strip, an attempt to sow ash into the eyes and deceive the international community, as no truck entered the sector until now, including those that have reached the Karam Abu Salem crossing and no international entity was received.

The movement emphasized that the escalation of the aggression and the deliberate bombing of the civil infrastructure, and the perpetration of brutal massacres exposes Netanyahu’s intentions that reject any settlement and reveal its adherence to the option of war and destruction.

Hamas held the occupation government fully responsible for thwarting efforts to reach an agreement, in light of its officials’ statements to continue the aggression and displace the Palestinians from their land.

The movement valued the efforts of the brokers, confirming its continued positive and responsible dealing with any initiative to stop the aggression.

Continue mediation

The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, said earlier today, Tuesday, that “Qatar is communicating with Egypt and the United States efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.”

The Qatari Prime Minister added, in his speech to the Qatar Economic Forum held in Doha, that after the release of Alexander, he had believed that this would end the tragedy of Gaza, but the response was a violent bombing.

He also revealed a basic gap between the two parties to the talks, which prevents an agreement in the ongoing talks in Doha.

In response to a question during a session at the Qatar Economic Forum held in Doha today about the start of Israel, a ground operation in several areas within the Gaza Strip, the Qatari Prime Minister stressed that ending the Israeli war on Gaza is through diplomacy.

For her part, White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said that US President Donald Trump wanted a fire in Gaza, and to release all prisoners.

Levitte added, at a press conference, that the American administration is communicating with the parties to the conflict in Gaza, and that Trump made it clear to Hamas that it had to release the prisoners.

Earlier, the American Entrepreneur, Adam Bouler, said, “We are closer and more of reaching an agreement in Gaza,” and the White House stressed the necessity of a ceasefire and the release of prisoners, at a time when indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel in the Qatari capital, Doha, continue.

“If enthusiasm wants to attend and make a project offer and if she is ready to release the hostages, we are always open to that,” the Israeli Jerusalem Post quoted Buller as saying.

The Washington Post reported yesterday, Monday, that the American pressure on Israel has become more severe. Officials close to President Trump warned the Israeli leadership that the United States had stopped its support for Tel Aviv if the war in the Gaza Strip did not end.
