Today, Saturday, the Health and Community Return Association in the Gaza Strip warned that its health and social services have been completely stopped in the coming days due to no medical supplies since last March due to the Israeli siege.

The Health and Community Society Association announced that 7 out of 9 ambulances stopped working due to running out of fuel, and reducing working hours in primary health care centers and community protection in order to provide diesel consumption.

This association provides its services through Al -Awda Hospital in northern Gaza and primary health care centers and community protection spread in the governorates of the sector.

The director of the association, Raafat Al -Majdalawi, said in a statement that the association’s services are threatened with complete stopping during the coming days due to the lack of arrival of any medical supplies more than 70 days ago.

He emphasized that the lack of medical supplies would affect the services provided originally.

Al -Majdalawi added that in addition to the lack of medical supplies, Al -Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip has not reached any diesel supplies since April 17, and the hospital in the middle of the sector has not reached the fuel since February 17 last.

He pointed out that the association started austerity measures to manage the available fuel stock.

He appealed to all relevant parties to provide medical supplies and fuels needed to continue to provide services in their facilities and health and community centers.

He called for the necessity of neutralizing health facilities as a civilian in any way of targeting or deprivation in times of conflict and wars.

And Friday, World Health Organization spokeswoman Margaret Harris said at a conference at the United Nations Office that the organization, like other humanitarian organizations, could not deliver anything to the Gaza Strip on which Israel imposes a severe siege.

During the past five days, Israel intensified its targeting of the sector’s hospitals and its surroundings in a way that caused widespread damage while causing the European Hospital to leave the southern sector from service, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza in a statement Thursday.

Since last March, the occupation has closed the Gaza Strip crossings in the face of humanitarian aid, which has introduced about 2.4 million Palestinians in a state of famine.
