Popular and parliamentary invitations in Jordan escalated in taking practical and rapid steps to respond to a settler attempt to bring an animal offering to the Al -Aqsa Mosque this week, in a dangerous move and affecting Islamic holy sites.

Jordanian politicians have warned of the serious consequences of such actions practiced by the temple groups under the eyes of the occupation police in Al -Aqsa, which threatens to ignite religious and security tensions in the region, especially in light of the sensitivity of the situation in Jerusalem.

The speakers demanded – in an interview with Al -Jazeera Net – the necessity of immediate action and the activation of the response tools to stop the violations against the Al -Aqsa Mosque, especially by Jordan, which has historical tutelage on it.

Jordanian anger and warning of the consequences

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest phrases of these violations, considering the introduction of the Eucharist to Al -Aqsa “a dangerous desecration of the sacred place, and a flagrant violation of the existing historical and legal status”, which makes the Al -Aqsa Mosque in its entire area (144 dunums) purely Islamic under the Hashemite guardianship, and exclusively the supervision of the Jerusalem Endowments Department of the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments.

In an official statement, Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesman Sufyan Al -Qudah confirmed that the Kingdom rejects these provocative practices, blaming the occupation authorities responsible for facilitating them, and warning of its consequences for the situation in the occupied city and the entire region. He also reiterated that the Al -Aqsa administration is one of Jordan’s exclusive powers, calling on Israel – as an occupying power – to immediately retreat from its unilateral measures and stop the incursions.

In the same context, the Dean of the College of Sharia at Al -Bayt University, Dr. Anas Abu Atta, said that “Al -Aqsa Mosque is not just a political issue or occupied land, but rather a doctrine, and the responsibility towards it falls on the responsibility of every Muslim, each according to his location and ability.” He pointed out that “the strategic method of dealing with this issue goes through 3 axes: preparation, supply, and support.”

For his part, a member of the Palestine Committee in the Jordanian Parliament, MP Yanzara, said, “The issue of Al -Aqsa Mosque is in its worst days, while settlers and the Temple group are in their happiest days, and during the past days they were able to achieve dangerous progress in arranging their Talmudic and biblical rituals in the courtyards of Al -Aqsa, in the absence of a complete absence at the level of the Arab and Islamic nations, and the world, to reduce these actions.”

He stressed that what is happening was only faced by a few Jerusalemites and the guards of the mosque, stressing that this calls for a great position on Jordan, which is responsible for protecting Al -Aqsa under the Hashemite guardianship.

He called on the Jordanian government to mobilize all its political and diplomatic tools, indicating that Al -Aqsa is the essence of the conflict, and what happened in Gaza is the main reason for these violations that provoke the feelings of Muslims.

Jordan’s privacy in defending Al -Aqsa

In turn, the head of the Cultural Committee at Al -Wehdat Club, Abdul Rahman Jumaa, stated that “this event is historically unprecedented and dangerous in the context of attempts to Judaize the Al -Aqsa Mosque, and it requires everyone to stand at their responsibilities,” noting that “Jordan has its official and popular actions, privacy and priority in defending Al -Aqsa and keeping it purely Islamic.”

He stressed that it is required to highlight and practice all forms of pressure to stop the violations, and to invite the people of Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Palestinian Interior to Rabat, and he stressed the need not to forget that Gaza pays a heavy price in defense of Al -Aqsa.

The official of the Jerusalem Committee at the University of Jordan, Bara Yaqoub, said that the repeated incursions to the Al -Aqsa Mosque are taking an escalatory nature that includes the performance of Talmudic rituals and attempts to introduce offerings, in violation of the sanctity of the place and the prohibition of worship in it.

He stressed the need to enhance awareness and student and youth role towards the issue of Jerusalem and Al -Aqsa Mosque, in addition to activating the tools of the field movement from organizing solidarity stops and peaceful marches in rejecting these repeated attacks.

He also stressed the need for the Jordanian government to continue in its strong and strong standing position in its capacity as the guardian by taking concrete steps in international forums to protect the Al -Aqsa Mosque and intensify political pressure to protect it from Judaization.

On Monday, settlers managed to introduce an animal offering into the Al -Aqsa Mosque from the side of Bab al -Gawanmeh, during a period in which the incursions are not allowed, taking advantage of the small number of Almoravids at the place.

Although some of the Almoravids and Guardians in the mosque confront the settlers, the Israeli police have been seen in preventing them, which was considered by observers an indication of official complicity with these repeated violations and involved at the highest levels.

The attempt to enter the Eucharist to the Al -Aqsa Mosque comes in a rising context of the attempts of the structure groups to impose biblical rituals into the campus.

Observers note that these steps are gradually implemented with the support of currents within the occupation government, taking advantage of the Arab and international decline, and the escalation of restrictions on the Almoravids and Al -Aqsa guards.

These attempts also coincide with Jewish religious seasons, accompanied by symbolic rewards and media propaganda, with the aim of devoting a Jewish religious presence in the place, in preparation for changing the existing situation.
