In a satirical article published by the Hebrew newspaper “The Time of Israel”, the writer Tomer Bilij, the reality of the Benjamin Netanyahu government, likened to a “noisy children’s kindergarten”, confused absurd statements, decisions that lack maturity and responsibility, and practices that show a complete separation from the critical political and military reality experienced by Israel.

The writer explained that the first scenes of this absurdity were from the far -right finance minister of Salafel Smotrich, who publicly stated that he will leave the security meeting meeting when the Shin Bet head of the Ronin Bar, preferring to “go to the bathroom or drink coffee”, which are considered abusive and inappropriate statements.

Netanyahu’s allies demanded the dismissal of Ronin Bar because of differences with him, but the government said – in a document submitted to the Supreme Court – that it “decided to cancel its decision issued on March 20, 2025”, in reference to the decision to dismiss Bar.

Families

As for the Minister of National Security, Etamar bin Ghafir, he exceeded the lines when he confirmed that US officials had supported the bombing of food stores in the Gaza Strip, which are statements that the US State Department rushed to deny, confirming that.

The writer added that the farce did not stop at the ministers, but rather reached the families. Eyal bin Ghafir, the wife of the minister, wrote an article in which she expresses her longing for her husband who was “not served in the army”, and claims that she “feels like she is the wife of a reserve soldier”, which sparked sarcastic reactions.

Diplomat

The writer pointed out that the Israeli government decided not to send an official representative to the funeral of Pope Francesco, with the exception of the Vatican ambassador. Consogeen tweets published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also deleted without explanation, in the position of observers interpreting it as a continuation of the state of separation from diplomacy and international responsibility.

The writer continued his talk about what he described as the “back rows” seats in “Kindergarten of the Children”, which was not more rational, as the Knesset member of the Likud party, Osher Shakalim, mocked the former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett after undergoing a heart catheter, asking how this man will be able to manage 7 combat fronts while collapsing during physical training.

The writer strongly criticized the current government, and said that it had not provided the Israelis a single rational moment since its formation, in reference to the depth of the political and leadership crisis in the country.
