This comes hours after President Trump praised on Sunday evening, to announce Hamas, its intention to release the American Israeli prisoner, Idan Alexander, and wrote in a post on social media, “The war in Gaza is brutal.”
Commenting on Hamas’s intention to release Alexander, he added, “We hope that these are the first last steps necessary to end this brutal conflict,” and he expressed his hope to release all the prisoners and end the fighting.
The Hamas movement announced that the dual -Israeli American nationality will be released, after contacts by Hamas in the US administration during the past few days.
Hamas affirmed its willingness to start immediately in extensive negotiations, and made serious efforts to reach a final agreement to stop the war and exchange the prisoners in an agreed manner, and to manage the Gaza Strip from an independent professional committee, ensuring the continuation of calm and stability for several years, in addition to reconstruction and ending the siege.
