International newspapers have taken care of the latest developments on the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and its political and humanitarian repercussions, along with US President Donald Trump’s tour in the region.

An article in the Washington Post concluded that Trump is marginalizing Israel without the assistance of Gaza, as the writer Ishan Thor said that with the end of Trump’s visit to the Middle East, “there were no signs on the horizon on a major deal that leads to peace in Gaza.”

According to the article, the humanitarian situation is still miserable. On Wednesday, Israel killed more than 100 people, and a hospital in northern Gaza received the bodies of 20 children who were killed in one incident.

In turn, the American New York Times said that Israel had completely destroyed the city of Rafah, after it was a haven for Gaza residents fleeing the Israeli bombing.

Pictures of the satellite analyzed by the newspaper show that the Israeli army demolished large areas in the city of Rafah and its surroundings, and created a new military infrastructure during the past two months.

The British Guardian newspaper published a joint article for university professors and human rights defenders, in which they said that Israel was practicing the apartheid, and they pointed out that its Abadi attack on Gaza overshadowed the apartheid.

According to these jurists, the two things are closely related, because the racist hatred itself nourishes the apartheid as much as the genocide.

They pointed out that they spread this article, exposing themselves to harassment and risk of losing their jobs, and they asked, “If we are silent about what is happening in Palestine, how can we call ourselves to human rights defenders?”

An article in the Haaretz newspaper believed that Israel neglects itself at a time when President Trump redefines the Middle East, noting that Israel is now not ready diplomatically for a nuclear agreement with Iran, and lacks a clear strategy towards Gaza and Syria.

The writer Tsafi Barail said in the article that the international alliance surrounding Israel is gradually cracking, and some of it completely collapses.

As for the writer Akifa Lam, he said in his article in the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper that the US -Israeli relations are deteriorating during the Trump era, pointing out that Israel has bet on the defeat of the Democrats without understanding how the Republican Party and the circle close to Trump changed.

Likewise, Israel has bet on defeating the Democrats without paying attention to the approach of the day when it will not be able to say “no” to America, or to exert pressure from within it.

In another file, the British newspaper Times reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s refusal to attend a summit in Istanbul was dispeling the hopes of Ukraine in achieving a breakthrough to end the war.

The newspaper quoted Russian sources as saying that Putin’s absence was a reference to President Trump that Russia was only ready to hold fundamental discussions with the United States on the war with Ukraine.
