The preacher of the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, condemned the attempt of extremist Jewish groups to enter and “slaughter offerings” inside the Al -Aqsa squares, stressing that what happened was “a very dangerous act” and an Israeli attempt to impose a new reality.

In a statement, Sabri stressed that this behavior is a very dangerous act and constitutes an open complicity from the Israeli government with extremist Jewish groups, in a scandalous attempt to impose a new reality within the blessed mosque.

He warned of “these provocative steps that go beyond all the red lines,” stressing that any action by these groups with the support of the occupation with the aim of changing the identity of Al -Aqsa is categorically rejected, and our people will face it as he has always done.

He added, “He sacrificed our people to preserve Al -Aqsa, and no existence for non -Muslims will be allowed.”

He stressed that preserving Al -Aqsa is a trust in the necks of the entire Islamic nation, but it is the Palestinian people who bear this responsibility today alone despite the calamities and Islamic and Arab negligence, and will not abandon it, no matter how many sacrifices.

And Israel held full responsibility for “the serious repercussions of this event”, stressing that Israeli security is the one who facilitated the arrival of extremists to Al -Aqsa, and it is the one who provided them with protection.

“It is not possible that it is not possible to plan to slaughter the Eucharist without the security services have any information,” he added.

He considered that what happened “pouring the oil on the fire” and requires an urgent Arab and Islamic move to stop “stark violations against the Al -Aqsa Mosque and the worshipers in it.”

He stressed that the occupation is practicing a systematic racist policy that prevents Muslims from reaching Al -Aqsa, at a time when it opens its doors to the settlers to storm and commit violations, in a clear violation of the existing situation, and a flagrant violation of freedom of worship and all international laws.

Sabri praised the guards of the mosque and the worshipers “who failed to slaughter the offering,” stressing that “extremist groups have official support and continuous incitement to kill the Arabs and demolish the Al -Aqsa Mosque.”

A dangerous escalation

On Monday, a video clip circulating on social media showed 4 settlers approaching Bab al -Gawanmeh, one of the doors in the western wall of the Al -Aqsa Mosque, where there are elements of the Israeli police.

One of the settlers appears in the video while running and escaping from the police towards the mosque’s door, before being arrested by one of the Al -Aqsa Mosque’s guards and handing him over to the police.

The Israeli settler was putting a “small lamb” offering in a bag that he was carrying while trying to storm the mosque.

The Israeli police also arrested 3 other settlers who were accompanied by it, before they could storm the mosque, without becoming clear if they were arrested.

In April, settlers tried to enter offerings into the Al -Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of the Jewish Easter.

Since 2003, the Israeli police have allowed the settlers to storm the mosque through the Mughrabi door in the western wall of the mosque.

The incursions are made all days of the week, except Friday and Saturday, with guarding and accompanying the Israeli police.

The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem, affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, is calling for the suspension of the incursions, but without response by the Israeli authorities.

In recent years of violations in the courtyards of the mosque, settlers ascend the performance of Talmudic rituals and prayers.
