Former Prime Minister Ehud Barak renewed his “strongly” attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he said that because of his poor administration of the war, in light of the increasing losses of the army in Gaza, warning that Israel is on the brink of a catastrophe, calling for a civil disobedience to overthrow it.
During an interview with the Israeli public radio, Barak touched the fingers again to Netanyahu, accusing him of “confusing the papers” and trying to evade the official investigation that was supposed to be conducted after the war ended.
Barak warned that Israel is on the verge of a catastrophe, that its “democracy and international position” are at risk, and that Netanyahu is responsible for the ongoing crisis.
Palestinian platforms also conveyed a translation of Israeli reports, including Barak’s comment – on a video clip broadcast by the Qassam Brigades of the Israeli prisoner “Maxim Harkin – as saying” If you were in power, I would go to a deal immediately even at the price of ending the war. “

And these translations – quoting Barack – added that Hamas “can fight against the army for 50 years, but it does not fight an Egyptian or Arab army” in reference to the call that Arab forces will manage the Gaza Strip. “
Speaking to Israeli Channel 13, Barak called for a collective “civil disobedience” Even the prime minister’s overthrow and taking judicial paths to force him to step down, saying, “Netanyahu must be removed from the lack of eligibility.”
In response, Netanyahu’s Likud party said that “he will not accept moral sermons from a busy person to tear Israeli society.”
Barak also explained that US President Donald Trump “is not with Netanyahu, neither on the issue of Gaza nor Iran’s file, and this will become clear within weeks.”
Barak criticized the Prime Minister for “his attempt to show that he and Trump are in full agreement, while in reality, Trump has long gave up his plan to establish (Riviera)” in the Gaza Strip, and “he is now focusing on other issues.”
Barak has previously said – in the past months – that the US President’s (Gaza displacement) plan aims to save Netanyahu from his political crisis.
Barack at the time described – in statements reported by Israeli media – Trump’s plan was that it was “imagination and was not seriously studied,” stressing that it is not implemented and may resent Arab countries.
The newspaper “Israel Hume” also quoted Barak as saying that Israel stumbles without strategy or a plan of action in Gaza, directing his warnings to Netanyahu of long stay in the Strip.
This comes at a time when Israel has been continuing since October 7, 2023 annihilation war in the besieged Palestinian sector, which left more than 165,000 martyrs and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 11 thousand missing, amid a worsening famine that camping over the destroyed sector.
