The British government summoned the Israeli ambassador to inform it of London’s position refusing to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip.

British Foreign Secretary David Lami announced a set of measures, most notably the suspension of commercial negotiations with Tel Aviv and the imposition of sanctions on settlers. Lami said that the actions of the Netanyahu government in Gaza make these measures necessary.
