The late Vatican President Pope Francesco donated before his death on April 21, one of his cars known as “Pope Mobil”, for use in order to meet the needs of sick children in the Palestinian Gaza Strip.
The Italian News Agency (ANSA) reported on Sunday evening that Pope Francesco asked the Cartoic Church of Catholic Church to use one of the cars – which he usually uses to salute people – to meet the health needs of children in Gaza.
The agency added that the aforementioned car was entrusted to the branch of the Catholic Cartetas Cartitas in Jerusalem, and it is being transferred to serve children in Gaza with the support of the “Caritas” branch in Sweden.
She pointed out that the car will be provided with a driver and a doctor, and will contain the equipment necessary for diagnosis, examination and treatment, as well as fast tests for infection, injection and needles.
According to “Ansa”, the car is expected to be ready to provide basic health services for children in Gaza as soon as the crossings are reopened to the Strip.
Since last March 2, Israel has closed the sector crossings in front of the entry of food, relief, medical and goods, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian conditions of the Palestinians, according to governmental, human rights and international reports.
With absolute American support, Israel has been committing Israel since October 7, 2023 genocide crimes in Gaza, which left more than 170,000 Palestinians dead and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 11,000 missing.
