The Benjamin Netanyahu government appears to be determined to achieve its final goal of occupying the Gaza Strip and displacing its inhabitants, but it is trying to achieve this goal in stages so that it does not fall into a greater war of attrition, says experts.
Netanyahu believed the decision to expand the military operation in the Strip after several sessions held by the mini cabinet, “cabinet”, and witnessed guarantors and arguments that sometimes reached the fight between politicians and military personnel.
According to the newspaper “Yediot Aharonot”, the operation will be expanded by an additional degree with greater strength, but it will not be widely, and this expansion will continue unless the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is released from the prisoners.
This new operation, according to military expert, Major General Fayez Al -Duwairi, is based on gradient biting and removing the population from certain areas until it is combed in search of prisoners or resistance fighters.
Small Gaza
Based on what was leaked to Israeli media, the name of the new operation, “The Small Gaza”, which means, according to what Al -Duwairi said in the “Path of Events” program, that the Israeli army will establish small population gatherings between the Salah al -Din axes (Philadelphia) and Maurg, to mobilize the population in it.
The mini council is scheduled to take a decision today, Sunday, to mobilize the reserve forces, according to the Maariv newspaper, which confirmed that the reserve soldiers who will be called to participate in the attack inside the Gaza Strip, while others will work to replace the regular forces.
And field officers had revealed that about half of the reserve soldiers did not commit to returning to fight because of the war that reaps more of their lives whenever it expands.
With the increasing refusal of the reserves to meet the summons orders, Al -Duwairi expected that those who will meet the calls for summons to the border with Syria and Lebanon, in order to pay the regular forces on these two fronts towards Gaza.
On the way the resistance can use to deal with this new development of the war, Al -Duwairi said that the resistance has already started a new approach after the resumption of the fighting is based on guerrilla warfare, which happened in Shujaiya, Beit Lahia and Rafah in recent days.

Mustafa concluded that the occupation of Gaza “will be much more difficult than the occupation of Lebanon and from the West Bank, because it will incur heavy losses and make it an occupying state according to its internal law, which will be responsible for the sector’s residents of the army.”
This is what makes Netanyahu adhering to the displacement of the population, because he does not want the army to become legally responsible for providing livelihoods for these residents, says Mustafa.
Try to make up for failure
The upcoming operation will not differ much from the previous operations carried out by the occupation in Gaza, in the opinion of political analyst Iyad Al -Qura, because the residents were facing displacement every time.
The expansion of the operation – in the opinion of the paragraph – will not reduce its losses, because it is exposed to strikes in the safe areas free of population, which means that it will be more vulnerable to resistance attacks if it penetrates into residential areas.
Despite the concern of people from the news of the expansion of the fighting, they may enhance their rejection of any new evacuation orders, especially since they did not find a safe place in the sector during the war, as Al -Qara says, which indicated that the quotes that Israel classified as a safe area was the most bombing during the war period.
The political analyst concluded by saying that Netanyahu will not be able to achieve his goals that he failed to achieve within 18 months of the war, as evidence that he announced the dismantling of the Hamas Brigades that it is fighting today, adding that the Israeli media itself talks about resistance to building its power.
