CNN reported – according to an informed source – that a senior Israeli delegation is in talks in the Qatari capital on the exchange of prisoners and the ceasefire in Gaza.

The source added that the Israeli delegation met the American President’s envoy to the Middle East Stephen Witkeov and the American hostage envoy Adam Bouhler.

He also stated that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) indirectly participates in these negotiations.

An Israeli delegation arrived in Doha, yesterday, Tuesday, which includes the deputy director of the Public Security Agency (the Shin Bet), the hostage envoy Gal Hirsch, the Advisor to the Prime Minister, Over Falk, and representatives of the Mossad and the intelligence of the Israeli army.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed his delegation to go to Doha, after talks with the American envoy to the Middle East, and a phone call to US President Donald Trump.

This comes as Egypt, Qatar, the United States and the Hamas movement hope to reach an agreement, at a time when the Israeli occupation is waving to escalate its aggression against Gaza by mobilizing the reserve soldiers of the military operation, which was called “Gideon’s vehicles”.

Adam Bouhler, US President of the hostage, speaks to the media in Tel Aviv (Reuters)

Earlier, Wittakouf informed the families of Israeli prisoners -at a meeting held in Tel Aviv -that he would go to Doha with the American presidential envoy for hostages Bouhler.

During the meeting, Witkev expressed his optimism that an agreement could be reached.

The families of the Israeli prisoners – in a post on the “X” platform – reported that during the meeting, it informed them of everyone’s desire to reach a diplomatic solution, indicating that most of the survivors managed to go out thanks to this path.

Wittakouf assured the families that, had it not been for his belief that he and Bouhler – with a real opportunity to apply for negotiations – would not go to Doha.

In turn, Bouhler expressed his conviction that there is a high possibility to reach an agreement on Gaza, but he indicated that the final decision remains in the hands of Israel, according to what was reported by the newspaper “Haaretz”.

Israeli media reported that the Israeli delegation will remain in Doha until tomorrow.

Hamas released the Israeli soldier, Idan Alexander, who holds American citizenship (Reuters)

This came after Hamas announced the release of Alexander Alexander, a prisoner of American citizenship, after contacts with Washington as part of the ceasefire efforts.

Alexander’s launch came as part of negotiations between Hamas and the United States with the participation of Egypt and Qatar, away from any Israeli participation.

The United States and the mediators in Egypt and Qatar are pressuring to reach an agreement to exchange prisoners and a ceasefire in Gaza.

Before the release of Alexander, Israel was estimating its number in Gaza by 59, including 21 alive, while in its prisons, about 10,000 Palestinians were held in harsh conditions that claimed the lives of a number of them, according to human rights reports.

Continuous crimes

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army has continued to launch extensive air strikes in the northern Gaza Strip since dawn today.

The Israeli raids targeted inhabited houses and medical facilities, which resulted in the death of more than 70 Palestinians, in a bloody escalation confirming the continued occupation in the war of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Strip.

Commenting on the massacres, Hamas considered that, through these crimes, Netanyahu is trying to undermine the efforts made by the brokers to reach a deal.

Since October 7, 2023, with an American cover, Israel has continued the war of extermination on Gaza, which has led to more than 172,000 martyrs and wounded, the majority of them are women and children, in addition to more than 11 thousand missing.
