A spokesman for the Al -Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that the movement will be released today, Monday, the Israeli soldier who holds American nationality Alexander Alexander, who is believed to be the last American detainee alive in the movement in Gaza.

“The Qassam Brigades decided to release the Zionist soldier with American nationality, Alexander Alexander today,” said on the Telegram platform, without additional details.

Alexander, 21, a soldier in the Israeli army, was born and raised in the US state of New Jersey, and will join 38 prisoners who were released under a ceasefire agreement that started on January 19 last, and collapsed after the Israeli occupation army resumed last March its land and air attack on Gaza.

Israeli officials said that the war on Gaza will continue until the liberation of the rest of the 59 prisoners, and disarmament from the Gaza Strip, while Hamas insists that it will not be released from the prisoners except in the framework of an agreement to end the war, which killed more than 52,000 martyrs.
