Al -Jazeera revealed additional details about the scenes of the release of Alexander Alexander, the Israeli soldier, and the delivery process that took place on Monday in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to private sources, a reporter spoke to Al -Jazeera Tamer Al -Mashal, the delivery process led by the Al -Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – took place smoothly and quickly away from the media at 18:35 local time.

During the delivery process, the commander of the Qassamian group informed the Red Cross representatives that Alexander’s delivery came with an agreement between the American administration and Hamas, not Israel, which explains the reason for the soldier’s refusal later to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On Monday, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that Alexander refused to meet Netanyahu, while the soldier’s family revealed that he would travel to Doha to meet US President Donald Trump and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Alexander Bazzah was captured by an Israeli military site, east of Khan Yunis, on October 7, 2023, which is known as a Palestinian as the “White House” military, and is a tank of Israeli tanks.

According to the sources that spoke to the inhibitors, what happened is considered a “semi -initiative” of Hamas, through which it wanted to open the horizons to quickly introduce aid to the Gaza Strip and start negotiating the ceasefire in light of Washington and the mediators in Doha to accelerate this matter.

In this context, the Netanyahu office announced this evening that Israel will send a delegation to Doha tomorrow to discuss a proposal presented by the American envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkeov, with the aim of reaching an agreement to launch the prisoners detained in Gaza.

Regarding the gains made by Hamas, Al -Mashal said that she wanted to get 3 guarantees and pillars:

  • Open a communication channel line with the American administration and activate this away from Israel.
  • Breaking the starvation policy, as work is done to introduce aid and guarantee a humanitarian corridor to Gaza, and this is what the brokers promised Hamas.
  • Starting to negotiate the Wittakov proposal that Israel previously rejected, not on the Israeli paper.

The Wittakouf proposal includes – according to the injecting – the release of less Israeli prisoners than the Israeli paper, and never deals with disarmament or resistance to its weapon.

Al -Jazeera had revealed that Doha embraced direct negotiations during the past four days at the request of the American side, as this communication took place through an important American figure in the Trump administration, and it was through the exchange of messages and communications and was not face to face.

The milestone came – yesterday – when the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani informed the Americans that Alexander is still alive, and that Hamas was ready to release him as part of the endeavors to a ceasefire and the introduction of humanitarian aid.

Hamas has described the step of release Alexander as aiming to move the US -led political efforts to end the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.
