The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al -Duwairi, said that the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip was adjusted in the way of managing the battle with the Israeli occupation army, and he believed that it should keep its capabilities to face what he described as the next danger.
Al -Duwairi’s words came in the context of his comment on the killing of two Israeli soldiers and the injury of at least 4 others in a mine explosion in a tunnel in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to Israeli sources, who indicated that the two dead soldiers are from the elite unit “Yahlum” specialized in detecting and destroying tunnels.
According to the Palestinian sources, the Israeli occupation forces threw extensive smoke bombs in Rafah.
Major General Al -Duwairi explained that the resistance moved from the direct confrontation on the front edge to the direct confrontation within the depth of the built areas to retreat and fighting the guerrilla war, pointing to what it is currently doing is a war of attrition.
He pointed out that the resistance operations in various regions of the Gaza Strip, that is, there is no continuous fusion and battles, as happened in the first year of the Israeli war on the Strip.
He pointed out that the resistance was affected by the Israeli war, and Major General Al -Duwairi stressed the need to maintain its human and material capabilities to confront what it described as the next threat, especially in light of the talk about expanding Israeli military operations in Gaza.
The 14th Israeli channel reported that the Israeli occupation army will send tonight orders for about 60,000 reserve soldiers, and the regular army will be transferred from the West Bank and the north to the Gaza Strip. This comes after the Israeli Channel 12 reported that the government and the army decided to expand the operation in Gaza, noting that tens of thousands of reserve soldiers were summoned.
The decision to expand the aggression on Gaza comes while the Israeli protests continue, as the families of the Israeli prisoners in Gaza warned – at a press conference organized on Saturday in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv – of escalating the fighting in the Strip, as it would kill their relatives and erase the dead bodies of them, and also demanded the overthrow of the Benjamin Netanyahu government.
