The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al -Duwairi, said that the Palestinian resistance has developed multiple mechanisms to implement ambushes against the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, stressing that the generals of the occupation army warn against “diving into the sands of Gaza” for fear of the depletion of their forces.

Al -Duwairi considered that this stage represents a real “war of attrition” that many occupation army generals warn, who advise not to dive into the “Gaza sand” because the army will not be able to bear the successive losses for a long period of time, which reflects deep concerns within the Israeli military establishment.

Al -Duwairi explained – during the paragraph of the military analysis – that the current stage of operations in Gaza is “absolutely different” from the previous three stages, as the occupation army took a defensive position in the buffer areas, whether in the north or in the eastern fence or even in the Salah al -Din Street and Maurg Street.

As a result of this change in the Israeli tactic, it has become obligatory for the resistance to adopt a different method of fighting, which is the “guerrilla war”, as there are no mobile battles that allow them to directly engage, and he explained that the system of ambushes is one of the main aspects of this new strategy.

According to Al -Duwairi, the resistance has developed mechanisms to implement ambushes that vary between “the bombing of an eye of tunnel, the cultivation of explosive devices, and the use of Yassin’s shells”, stressing its effectiveness in raising losses in the ranks of the occupation army, as it always provides “good yields” of dead and wounded, with most of the fighters returning safely to the areas from which they started.

Internal division

On the existence of a sharp division between the Israeli military and political leaderships, Al -Duwairi pointed out a clear variation in the positions between the vision of the Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and the decisions taken by the mini cabinet (cabinet).

He explained that most of the members of this council are politicians who did not serve in the army at all, such as the two ministers in Salail Smotrich and Etamar bin Ghaffir, and they have no knowledge or military background, but rather their ambitions and ideology.

The military expert expected that the response rate to the plans of summoning the reserve soldiers would not exceed 50%, explaining that the occupation army needs 12 thousand soldiers, including 7500 for the combat units.

He pointed out that these will be sent to the West Bank, to the borders of Lebanon or to the borders of Syria, in order to withdraw the regular forces stationed there and send it to Gaza, in an attempt to compensate for the shortage and intensify military pressure on the Strip.

Displacement plans

Al -Duwairi warned of the danger of the displacement plans that the Israeli occupation is seeking to implement in the Gaza Strip, criticizing the concept of “protection” that Israel promotes, stressing that it restores the world to the era of Nazi detainees that Jews are crying until now.

He pointed out that these plans aim to change the “demographic distribution” in the sector, reviewing the population distribution numbers in the sector:

  • 50 thousand Palestinians in the north.
  • One million in Gaza.
  • 900 thousand in the camps area, Al -Mawsa area and the Deir Al -Balah area.

He asked, “Will all of this group be paid to the area of 75 square kilometers between Morag and Salah al -Din Street?”

Regarding the refusal of the Israeli Chief of Staff to supervise the distribution of aid in Gaza, Al -Duwairi warned of the concept of “protection” that Israel is marketing by establishing “electronic gates”, describing this as “the Nazi approach to the creation of ghettos” that the Israelis claim to have been victims in the past.

The Israeli Channel 12 had quoted the Israeli chief of staff, as saying that his soldiers would not distribute aid in Gaza, and that he is not ready to hear this, pledging not to endanger the soldiers in order to distribute water and bread to hungry angry crowds, but he said that Israel will work to secure the humanitarian area and will allow international organizations to distribute.
