A spokesman for the Al -Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al -Balah, Dr. Khalil Al -Dakran, confirmed that targeting the health system in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation army is considered a “complete crime against patients and injured” and a violation of international humanitarian law that provides for the protection of health facilities and medical staff.
Al -Duqran said, in an intervention to the island that the occupation army is still continuing in the attacks on the health system as part of a systematic campaign against the Gaza Strip hospitals, and that for several days hospitals have been targeting in all governorates of the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman pointed out that most of the hospitals in all governorates of the Gaza Strip have been out of health service, noting that the remaining hospitals in the Gaza Strip are very few and cannot provide health services to the injured and patients, especially with the arrival of large and serious numbers of injuries daily.
The Al -Jazeera correspondent said at dawn today, Monday, that the Israeli warplanes launched more than 30 raids on several areas in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, where the raids focused on the downtown area, and the raids targeted the drug store in Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.
Al -Dakran pointed out that the only remaining store of medical solutions for kidney patients in Khan Yunis, stressing that this targeting aims to kill about a thousand kidney patients in need of blood washing continuously.
He added that the European Hospital, which is considered a pillar of the Gaza Strip hospitals, was removed from the health service, which led to the prevention of neurosurgery and open heart surgery and the suspension of work for oncology and cancer patients, and this hospital has the only section for these patients.
With regard to hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, Al -Duran stated that the occupation army is besieging the return hospital and prevents the patients and the injured.
He also stressed that the Indonesian hospital and all hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip are outside the health service.
Hospitals threatened to stop
The spokesman warned that the remaining hospitals are threatened with stopping at any time very soon due to the lack of sufficient quantities of fuel to constantly operate generators, explaining that the stopping of hospitals means the death sentence for all patients and the injured.
With regard to the introduction of humanitarian aid to the sector, Al -Duqran stressed that until this moment, the Gaza Strip hospitals did not reach any aid from medicines and medical supplies, noting that hospitals are still suffering from a large shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
On the urgent needs, he said: We need in the Gaza Strip to medicines with all items as well as medical devices, because the devices in the Gaza Strip hospitals destroyed them, and we also need field hospitals and medical teams that support our crews, because our crews were exhausted, and they have been working since the beginning of the war, and the occupation army targeted and killed a large number of them.
A spokesman for the Al -Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, the world, the international organizations and the international community appealed to not stand spectators of the suffocating crisis in the Gaza Strip, the lack of food, medicines and medical supplies.
