Today, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces continued their raids on several areas in the Gaza Strip, leaving dozens of martyrs and wounded, and massive destruction in the health sector, which has become unable to provide its services, due to the targeting of hospitals and the depletion and shortage of medical materials and staff.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that a number of martyrs and wounded were killed in an Israeli raid on a house in the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, and he added that a large number of the wounded arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

For its part, Doctors Without Borders said that at least 70 martyrs and more than 300 wounded were transferred to Al-Aqsa Hospital since yesterday as a result of the Israeli raids.

The Israeli occupation also launched a series of violent raids targeting the eastern areas of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Four Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli raid on a gathering of citizens in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in central Gaza City.

For its part, Palestinian media reported that occupation artillery bombed northern Nuseirat, the Al-Mughraqa area, Al-Zahraa, and Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the number of martyrs rose to 97 people within 24 hours, as a result of the Israeli bombing of the central Gaza Strip.

In turn, the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that the occupation committed 4 massacres in the Strip, including 36 martyrs and 115 injured in hospitals during the past 24 hours.

Thus, the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to 36,586 martyrs and 83,74 injured.

She explained that there are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.

Collapse of the health sector

In a related context, Doctors Without Borders said that the situation in Gaza is horrific and the health system has reached the point of collapse with the insane escalation of violence in several locations in the Strip.

For his part, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir Al-Bursh, said that the Israeli occupation destroyed the health sector in northern Gaza.

He added that work in hospitals has become minimal, and medical teams have returned to work in the Indonesian Hospital in the city of Jabalia.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital spokesman, Khalil Al-Dakran, also said that the hospital currently provides services to about one million people, and suffers from a severe shortage of medical supplies and personnel, amid continued bombing in the surrounding areas.

He added that a number of injured people died due to the inability of medical teams to provide the necessary treatment as a result of operating rooms being crowded with extremely difficult injuries.

The hospital spokesman appealed to the international community to introduce field hospitals to control the health situation in the Gaza Strip.

Last May, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that more than 80% of hospitals in the Gaza Strip had been out of service as a result of Israeli attacks since the beginning of the war.

The pressure on Gaza Strip hospitals increased with the occupation closing the Rafah crossing since May 7, preventing patients from leaving for treatment abroad or entering medical aid.

Resistance battles

Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced that it had targeted an Israeli D9 military bulldozer with an “Al-Yassin 105” shell east of the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, after the Israeli army announced that it had begun a military operation east of Al-Bureij and east of Deir Al-Balah.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement – announced that its fighters were engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli army soldiers and vehicles on the front lines of the advance in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, the occupation army admitted that 10 soldiers were injured in the battles of the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of its wounded to 3,730 officers and soldiers since the beginning of the war, 1,889 of whom were during the ground operation that began on October 27 last year.

The army reported that 254 officers and soldiers were still being treated after being injured in the Gaza battles, 31 of whom were seriously injured.

While the number of deaths in the Israeli army reached 644 officers and soldiers since the beginning of the war.

Israel continues its devastating war on Gaza despite a decision by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of Rafah (south) and take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Strip.
