The resistance movements in Palestine and the region and regional parties on Friday mourned the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Yahya Sinwar, after officially announcing his martyrdom in the southern Gaza Strip, stressing that his martyrdom would be an additional incentive for the resistance and the continuation of the struggle against the occupation.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, mourned Al-Sanwar, saying that he “rose unpremeditatedly in the most honorable of battles.”

She said – in a statement – that “the path of jihad will not stop until the liberation of Palestine… and that Israel is mistaken if it thinks that by assassinating the leaders of the resistance, it will push it to retreat.”

Great leader

Ziad al-Nakhalah, Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, also mourned “a great Palestinian leader who spent his life struggling and advancing in the ranks, and he did not hesitate or weaken.”

He stressed that the Palestinian people and their resistance will remain loyal to the blood of the martyr, Commander Yahya Al-Sinwar, and that his martyrdom will only increase the strength, solidity and determination of the resistance in Palestine and the region.

The Popular Resistance Committees in Palestine also said that “the inspiring leader Yahya Al-Sinwar will remain the living heart of the nation beating revolution and resistance.”

She added, “Sinwar’s name will remain associated with the image of humiliation and defeat that befell the Zionist enemy.”

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in turn, mourned “the great national leader Yahya Sinwar, who was martyred as a fighter until the last minute,” noting that his martyrdom “will only be an additional incentive that pushes our people and their resistance to cohesion and continue the struggle.”

The “Palestinian National Initiative” also said, “The assassination of struggling leaders has never broken, and will never break, the will of the Palestinian people.”

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that Sinwar’s fate would be an “inspiration” for all fighters on the resistance front in the region.

He added, “Sinwar did not fear death. He sought martyrdom in Gaza and fought courageously until the end,” stressing that the issue of liberating Palestine from occupation is more alive today than ever before.

The Lebanese Hezbollah also mourned “the martyr leader Yahya Sinwar, who confronted the American project and the Zionist occupation and sacrificed his blood for that,” stressing its support for the Palestinian people.

The Yemeni Ansar Allah group (Houthis) mourned “the great mujahid and great leader Yahya Al-Sinwar,” stressing its continued support for the Palestinian resistance.

Sinwar Trail

It is noteworthy that the head of the Hamas movement in Gaza, Khalil Al-Hayya, today officially announced the martyrdom of the head of the movement’s political bureau, Yahya Al-Sinwar, stressing that we will follow his path in fighting the occupation until it is defeated.

The movement said in a statement: “With all meanings of nobility, pride, pride and dignity, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourns a man who devoted his life to Palestine and gave his soul for the sake of God on the path to its liberation. He spoke the truth to God, so God believed him, and chose him as a martyr along with the martyred brothers who preceded him.”

Yesterday, Thursday, the Israeli army confirmed that Sinwar was killed during clashes in the southern Gaza Strip.

He said – in a statement – that his soldiers carried out operations during the past days in the south of the Gaza Strip based on intelligence information indicating that leaders of the Hamas movement were present in the region, noting that a force from the 828th Brigade was present in the region and clashed with 3 fighters and killed them, and it became clear after examination that Sinwar is one of them.

Israel considers Sinwar the mastermind of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, 2023, which led to the killing of more than a thousand Israeli soldiers and settlers.
