Reports: 1,664 Israelis killed, 143,000 displaced since October 7 | Politics

Occupied Jerusalem As the Israeli war on Gaza entered its 12th month on Sunday, data from Israeli media and research centers showed that since the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle on October 7, 2023, about 1,664 Israelis have been killed, including 706 soldiers, and 17,809 people have been injured with varying degrees of severity.

The Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University reviewed statistics related to the fighting fronts, in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the Israeli home front, the northern front with Lebanon, and the escalation with Iran, where more than 19,000 rockets, missiles, and drones were launched from Gaza and Lebanon towards the Israeli side.

Israeli indicators

While there are still 101 Israelis being held in the Strip, 143,000 Israelis have been evacuated from their towns and homes since the start of the war, according to the Walla news website.

Since the outbreak of the war, 300,000 Israeli soldiers have been called up from the reserve forces, as 935 Israeli settlements and towns were under bombardment, with sirens sounding and their residents forced to hide in shelters and protected areas about 15,000 times.

In October 2023, coinciding with the start of the surprise attack launched by Hamas on the “Gaza Envelope” settlements and Israeli towns in the south, a total of 7,721 warnings of rockets and explosive drones were recorded, while in November there were 1,303 warnings, and in December 1,277.

Since then, the number of sirens has dropped to less than 1,000 per month, with the exception of April 2024, when more than 1,000 sirens were recorded again, due to the Iranian attack on Israel on April 14.

Gaza numbers

According to Israeli data, about 17,000 Hamas militants were killed in Gaza when the war broke out, while the Israeli army claimed to have attacked about 38,000 military targets of Palestinian resistance factions throughout the Strip.

According to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, approximately 41,000 Gazans have been killed so far during the war, the vast majority of them civilians, most of them children, women and the elderly, while approximately 95,000 have been injured with varying degrees of injury.

According to the National Security Research Center, 9,530 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards the Israeli side, while the ground operations in the Strip displaced about 1.9 million Palestinians and forced them to be forcibly displaced within the Strip.

To push the Palestinians in the Strip towards displacement, the data showed that the Israeli army made 100,000 phone calls to Palestinian civilians, sent 17 million recorded voice messages, while dropping and distributing 9.3 million leaflets to the Palestinian population threatening them and forcing them to leave.

The Israeli army claimed that it allowed countries and international relief organizations to bring 25 million liters of fuel into the Strip, as well as 20,000 tons of cooking gas, while more than 49,000 trucks of humanitarian aid entered the Strip through land crossings, and 9,931 aid packages were dropped from the air.

The outcome of other fronts

As for the course of the war on the northern front with Hezbollah, recent data showed that 50 Israelis were killed, including 24 soldiers, as 7,560 rockets and explosive drones were launched from Lebanon and Syria, while 68,500 Israelis were evacuated from 43 border towns and from the Upper Galilee and the Western Galilee.

In the context of escalating tension in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian resistance operations killed 41 settlers, including 12 soldiers and 3 police officers, and 285 settlers were injured, while 691 Palestinians were martyred by Israeli occupation bullets and settler attacks.

Since the beginning of the war, 1,407 incidents of violence and attacks by settlers on Palestinians in the West Bank have also been recorded, with October 2023 being the month that witnessed the largest number of these attacks, with more than 300 incidents.

As for the Iranian attack on Israel on April 14, the Israeli home front was bombarded with 120 ballistic missiles, 30 of which were intercepted, while 170 explosive drones were launched. The Iranian attack injured 32 Israelis, with no reported deaths.

The Institute for National Security Studies monitored the attacks carried out by the Yemeni Houthi Ansar Allah group on Israel and its maritime interests in the Red Sea, where 200 launches of missiles, projectiles and drones were documented, while 340 naval attacks were carried out on cargo ships linked to Israel that were sailing towards the ports of Haifa and Ashdod.
