Real Madrid football star French striker Killian Mbappe was admitted to the hospital for suffering from severe stomach and intestinal inflammation, his club announced Thursday.
“Our player, Killian Mbappe, suffers from a severe state of gastritis and intestine and was transferred to the hospital in order to undergo a series of tests and follow the course of the appropriate treatment,” the Royal Club said in a statement.
Doubts over Mbappe’s participation in his team’s second match against Mexican Pachuca in the eighth group of the Club World Cup scheduled for next Sunday.
The Royal Club announced that the French striker, who was absent from the first match against the Saudi Crescent (1-1), will undergo examinations and treatment in the hospital, indicating that the symptoms of gastritis include diarrhea, vomiting, fever, loss of appetite, abdominal pain and muscle cramps.

When the new Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso was asked about the case of his 26 -year -old striker after the Al -Hilal match, he replied, “I do not know if Mbappe will return to the next match, we will see.”
“It was not fine in the past two days. He is sick.”
Mbappe ended his first season with “Los Blancos” as the best scorer in his ranks by scoring 31 goals in the Spanish League to receive the European Golden Boot Award, but without being able to lead his team to win any big title, satisfied with the second place in “La Liga” behind the traditional rival Barcelona.
