Rain doubles the suffering of the residents of Jabalia camp, north of Gaza News

Displaced Palestinians in Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip, face a very poor living situation, as a result of large parts of the camp being flooded after rain. The situation is exacerbated by the collapse of the municipality’s capabilities, after the Israeli bombing destroyed the water drainage pumps.

The suffering worsens with the rainfall and the complete cessation of the work of municipalities in northern Gaza as a result of the occupation’s destruction of municipal machinery and the destruction of wells.

The electricity system also completely collapsed, which led to the inability to operate generators, with no diesel available.

Sewage entered homes, displacement camps, schools, and clinics.

Since last October 7, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which as of Thursday left 22,438 martyrs and 57,614 injured, most of them children and women, massive infrastructure destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to the Strip authorities and the United Nations.

According to the government media office in Gaza, the Israeli army has committed approximately 1,876 massacres since the beginning of the war.
