Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said that the situation in the region is becoming more dangerous and worrying, and that everyone is responsible for stopping it.

“I think our meeting is consistent with everything that is happening in the Middle East in Gaza, the West Bank and on the Lebanese front, which has just escalated into a situation that could extend to the entire region,” he added during a meeting between the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

He said the situation was becoming increasingly dangerous and worrying, stressing that “we are all responsible to stand up, take action and say enough is enough, and that we need to find a solution.”

The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his appreciation for the United States’ commitment to stability in the Middle East, praising the partnership between Qatar, the United States and Egypt “in order to achieve results, return the hostages and end this war.”

The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, confirmed in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly yesterday, Tuesday, that the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is “the most barbaric and ferocious,” and that “what Israel is doing against the Palestinians is genocide.”

He said that the failure to intervene to stop this aggression on Gaza is a “huge scandal”, stressing that the ongoing “brutal war” in the Strip “fired the coup de grace on international credibility”. He said that “the condemnations and reports have been exhausted and all that remains is the crime and its victims in Gaza, including adults, children and women”.

He also said, “There are those who are tempted by the possibility of marginalizing the Palestinian cause, but the Palestinian cause is resistant to marginalization,” stressing that “the Palestinian cause will not disappear except in two cases: the disappearance of the occupation or the disappearance of the Palestinian people.”

The Emir of Qatar also spoke about the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, and considered that “the bombing of wireless communications without identifying the identity or location of the targets is a major crime.” Sheikh Tamim also called for a halt to the fighting in Sudan, stressing Qatar’s support for regional and international efforts to end the conflict.

With full American support, Israel is waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 137,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and deadly famine.

In parallel with its war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Israeli army expanded its operations in the West Bank, while settlers escalated their attacks, leading to the martyrdom of 717 Palestinians and the injury of about 5,750, according to official Palestinian institutions.

Since Monday morning, the Israeli army has been launching the “most violent and extensive” attack on Lebanon since the beginning of the confrontations with Hezbollah about a year ago, resulting in 615 deaths, including children and women, in addition to 2,113 wounded and about 390,000 displaced.
