The State of Qatar rejected the accusations of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and described his statements as inflammatory and irresponsible.

The spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majid Al -Ansari, said in a post on the X platform today, Sunday, that the State of Qatar “categorically rejects the inflammatory statements issued by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, which lacks the lowest levels of political and moral responsibility.”

Al -Ansari considered that “depicting the continuation of the aggression on Gaza as a defense of” preparation “brings to mind the speeches of systems throughout history that used false slogans to justify their crimes against innocent civilians.”

He added that since the war in the Gaza Strip erupted, the State of Qatar, in coordination with its partners, has worked to support the mediation efforts aimed at stopping the war, protecting civilians, and ensuring the release of the hostages.

He said, “It is worth presenting a legitimate question here: Has no less than 138 hostages have been released through the military operations that are described as” justice “, or through the mediation that is criticized today and targeted injustice?”

Al -Ansari continued, “On the other hand, the Palestinian people in Gaza live in Gaza, one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the modern era, from a suffocating siege and systematic starvation, and deprivation of medicine and shelter, to the use of humanitarian aid as a weapon of pressure and political blackmail. Is this the” urbanization “that is intended to be marketing?”

The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that “the foreign policy of the State of Qatar, which is based on principles, does not contradict its role as a honest and reliable mediator. It will not be discouraged by the campaigns of misinformation and political pressure from standing by the oppressed peoples, and defending the rights of civilians regardless of their backgrounds, and from international law without fragmentation or selectivity.”

He also stressed that “the State of Qatar continues its close work with the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America in order to reach an immediate ceasefire, to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, and to push towards a just and lasting peace, based on the values of justice and humanity, not on violence and double standards.”

He concluded that “the State of Qatar reaffirms its firm belief that true peace is achieved only through a fair and comprehensive settlement, based on international legitimacy decisions, ending the occupation, and ensuring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the establishment of its independent state on the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

Israeli discontent

Al -Ansari’s statements come in response to the inflammatory statements issued by the Netanyahu office targeting Qatar because of its demand for Israel before the International Court of Justice to stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip and allow the introduction of food and pharmaceutical aid to the Strip.

Netanyahu said – according to his office – that “the time has come for Qatar to stop manipulating the two opinions with its double speeches and decide whether it will stand by civilization or besides the barbarism of (Islamic Resistance) Hamas,” according to what was reported by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office.

Qatar: What is happening in Gaza group extermination

The representative of the State of Qatar in the International Court of Justice, Mutlaq bin Majid Al -Qahtani, said -last Thursday before the court -that Israel continues the genocide against the Palestinians and destroys a full generation of them, especially in the Gaza Strip, indicating that it uses starvation a systematic policy, which is a war crime under the Rome Basic System.

Al -Qahtani stressed that the practices of the Israeli war shows “a complete contempt for human life”, indicating that Israel did not end its occupation of the Palestinian territories, but continued the genocide against the Palestinians, especially in Gaza.

He added: The mediation of Qatar, Egypt and the United States opened a lifeline for the Gaza Strip before Israel closed it again, in reference to the occupation’s disintegration of the ceasefire agreement concluded last January.

Al -Qahtani pointed out that the health sector has almost completely collapsed in Gaza due to Israeli violations, and said that less than a third of UNRWA health facilities are currently working in Gaza.
