Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that his country has sufficient force to resolve the war in Ukraine with its “logical end”, while Ukrainian President Voludeimir Zellinski is visiting Czech to discuss obtaining ammunition and developing the air force.
In a film broadcast on official television today, on Sunday, entitled “Russia, the Kremlin, Putin, 25 years”, on the occasion of the quarter -century of Putin’s rule, one of the main correspondents asked about the danger of the nuclear escalation caused by the Ukraine war, which Moscow calls in the special military operation.
“They wanted to provoke us to make mistakes. There was no need to use these weapons … and I hope that there was no need to use them,” Putin said.
“We have enough strength and means to communicate what started in 2022 to a logical end with the result that Russia hopes.”.
Putin’s comments are at a time when US President Donald Trump is trying to push Moscow and Kiev to conclude an agreement to end the war.
In recent weeks, Trump has expressed his disappointment due to the slow progress towards this goal, while the Kremlin confirms that the conflict is complicated and that it is difficult to achieve the rapid progress of the United States.
Prague supporting Kyiv
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski and his wife Olina arrived in the Czech capital Prague on Sunday for a two -day visit.
Zelinski met his Czech counterpart Peter Paville at Prague Castle, where the Czech artillery initiative is expected to provide Ukraine with ammunition at the top of the agenda.
According to the Czech government, 400,000 rounds of artillery ammunition have already been delivered to Ukraine from other countries through this initiative during the first four months of this year.
“The Czech artillery initiative has proven its effectiveness, and we will continue this effort,” Zellinski said in a post on social media today.
“There is another field of cooperation, which is the development of our military aircraft, the expansion of pilot training programs, and the support of our fleet from F-16s,” he added.
The Ukrainian President accuses Russia of insisting on the rejection of the American efforts to reach a comprehensive ceasefire, after Putin offered a 3 -day ceasefire on the anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.
