The Israeli newspaper “Maariv” reported that the number of Israelis who requested psychological support due to the Iranian military response increased by 350%.
The newspaper said -yesterday, Saturday -“an increase of 350% in the number of psychological support requests was recorded through the aid line of the Natal Association -the Israeli Shock Center -that provides psychological assistance to the victims of shocks resulting from terrorism and war.”
“We received calls on aid lines from all over the country, from citizens who reported panic, tension, trembling, crying, and acceleration of heartbeat,” the newspaper quoted Evit Chevroot, Director General of the association.
“The citizens talked about their feelings of control, fear of leaving the shelters, requests to help calm and deal with children, and difficulty in separating from following the news,” Chevroot added.
And Israel began on Friday dawn with implicit support from the United States, a massive attack on Iran with dozens of fighters, called “the rising lion”, during which nuclear facilities and missile bases were bombed in different regions and assassinated prominent military leaders and nuclear scientists.
The Israeli army said that the attack was proactive and came under the political levels, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the unprecedented operation aims to hit Iranian nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile factories, and many other military capabilities.
On the evening of the same day, Iran began responding to the attack with a series of ballistic missile strikes and running planes, the number of its waves so far, which led – according to Israeli media – killed 4 Israelis and wounded 172 others with varying injuries, as well as major material damage that affected buildings and vehicles.
Israeli media talked about a very serious event in Tel Aviv, after an Iranian bombing targeting a strategic location, without revealing additional details due to strict military censorship and obscurity instructions imposed by the army.
The current Israeli attack on Iran is the largest of its kind, and represents a clear transition from the shadow war that Tel Aviv was run against Tehran through bombings and assassinations, to an open military conflict that exceeds what the Middle East witnessed years ago.
