The rally is held while British Prime Minister Keir Starmer calls the actions of Israel “intolerable”, addressing the legislators in Parliament.

Pro-Palestine activists gathered against the punishing war of Israel against Gaza, gathering outside the British Parliament in London and demanding a complete embargo of weapons and that punchy sanctions be imposed on the Israeli government.

Wednesday’s march, organized by the Solidarity campaign of Palestine (PSC), came while British Prime Minister Keir Starmer answered the weekly questions from parliamentarians.

Thousands of demonstrators have created a “red line for Palestine”, carrying red while surrounding the building.

Starmer told Parliament that Israel’s actions in the besieged and bombed enclave are “appalling” and “intolerable”.

“It’s just to describe these days as dark,” said Starmer. “We firmly opposed the expansion of Israeli military operations, and the violence of the settlers and the blocking of humanitarian aid.”

Starmer added that the United Kingdom has imposed sanctions, suspended free trade negotiations and is currently considering new sanctions.

But the British chief, his secretary to foreign affairs, David Lammy, and his government were criticized in the United Kingdom for not having spoken stronger by a real action earlier in the war, and not to have done enough now that the Palestinians are confronted with what the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres called the “Crullelle phase of this cruel conflict”.

Rory Challands of Tel Aviv Tribune, reporting from London, said that the demonstration continued for several hours and throughout Starmer’s speech in Parliament.

“There was a red line around the whole parliament,” said Chalands.

“These demonstrators had formed a cord, mainly from the parliament to the parliament at the first bridge … which passes on the other side of the (river), and they returned … and returned to the deck of Westminster to join here to make a full loop,” he added.

According to Chalands, demonstrators say that their “red line” is to show that the British government should have its own red lines with regard to Gaza.

He did not have any “sufficient” red lines in place, he said. “The demonstrators say that there should have been red lines before 54,000 deaths.”

In his remarks, Starmer also called at the end of the seat and that humanitarian aid must reach Gaza quickly and in the required quantities.

Israel has maintained a paralyzing blockade in the territory, except the entry of an essential aid, including food, medications, drinking water and fuel required by generators. A famine is now looming while more than two million people are faced with famine, warned the UN.

Meanwhile, a controversial group supported by the United States which manages aid distribution points in Gaza – Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) – suspended operations for a full day. This decision has occurred after Israeli forces opened fire several times on several occasions, killing dozens of Palestinians and injuring hundreds more since the organization began to operate in the enclave on May 27.

The murder of people who are desperately looking for food supplies have triggered an international assembly indicative, because many say that the aid is under armament and with the UN guterres demanding an independent investigation.

The War of Israel against Gaza killed at least 54,607 Palestinians and injured 125,341, according to the Ministry of Health.
