Entitled “Life. My story in History”, the Pope’s long-awaited autobiography is due to be published on March 19.

The Italian daily Corriere della Sera published the exclusive details this Thursday.

It notably reveals several tensions within the Vatican and that Pope Francis does not, to date, plan to renounce his papal status.

However, the most surprising revelation undoubtedly concerns the Pope’s youth.

Francis admits to having been engaged when he was young, before ultimately choosing to become a priest, rather than marry.
