Poll: The majority of British youth believe that Israel should not exist News

A new opinion poll conducted by Focal Data for the British news site Unheard revealed that the majority of young people in Britain do not believe that Israel should exist.

The results of the poll, which included 1,012 young people who were entitled to vote in the elections on British foreign policy, showed that 54% of young people between the ages of 18 and 24 agreed with the statement that “the State of Israel should not exist,” while 21% did not agree with that. Just.

When young respondents were asked, “Who is most responsible for the war in Gaza?” 50% indicated that Israel is responsible for the war, while 25% placed the blame on the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and 19% responded equally.

In addition, the survey indicated that British youth showed greater interest in developments in the war on the Gaza Strip compared to other global conflicts.

The survey indicated that 38% of young people between the ages of 18 and 24 showed great interest in the war in Gaza, while 28% showed somewhat interest. In comparison, only 19% and 44% were very or somewhat interested in the war in Ukraine.

An opinion poll published by the British newspaper Daily Mail last month showed that about 40% of students at Russell Group universities believe that the attack of last October 7 (Al-Aqsa Flood) was an act of resistance.

The survey included more than a thousand students from Russell Universities (a group of 24 universities seen as the best British universities), and found that 38% of university students believe that last October 7 was an “understandable” act of “resistance.”

The poll, conducted by Savanta and shared with the newspaper, showed that only a third of them consider the Hamas attack that sparked a new war in Gaza a “terrorist attack.”
