An Israeli opinion poll revealed that 32% of young Jews abroad are sympathetic to Hamas, and 36% of them believe that Tel Aviv is actually committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

This came according to the results of a survey conducted by the Israeli Mosaic United Foundation, for the Ministry of Diaspora and Combating Anti-Semitism, and its results were published on Monday evening by Hebrew media outlets, including the private Channel 14 and the Israel Today newspaper, where they were described as “worrying.”

The survey also revealed significant differences between young Jews in the United States and those living in other countries regarding their opinion regarding the extermination war in Gaza and Hamas, as the data shows that 37% of American Jewish youth feel sympathy for Hamas, while the percentage drops to 7%. Only from young people in other countries.

42% of American Jewish youth believe that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, compared to only 9% of Jewish youth in other countries, according to the same results.

Most of them are in the United States

According to Anadolu Agency, about 8.5 million Jews live outside Israel, including about 6.3 million in the United States of America alone, according to the latest data published by the Jewish Agency in October 2024.

The survey comes at a time when Israel has turned the Gaza Strip into the largest prison in the world, besieging it for the 18th year, and the war of extermination launched by Tel Aviv since October 7, 2023 has forced about two million of the citizens of the Strip, numbering about 2.3 million Palestinians, to flee in poor conditions. Tragic, with deliberate severe scarcity of food, water and medicine.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 149,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
