The island has obtained satellite photos of the Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean, showing the position of American B-52 bombers since June 19, and this coincided with the move of two B-2 bombers towards the Guam Island in the Pacific Ocean.
The pictures that the island got showed the concentration of other types of American combat aircraft at the Diego Garcia base.
The Diego Garcia base, which expanded after the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, has played a vital role in the wars launched by the United States in Iraq (the first Gulf War in the early nineties and the invasion of 2003), and Afghanistan (2001).
A previous analysis published by the French Press Agency concluded the presence of a “C-17” military transport plane at the Diego Garcia base. According to the US Air Force, this model expanded the transfer of the soldiers “quickly”, as well as “loads of all kinds to the main operations bases or directly to the advanced rules in the publishing areas.”
The analysis also showed the presence of fuel supply aircraft that allows the re -supply of other fuel warplanes during long missions.
On the other hand, the American military website The Avchensteh reported that two B-2 bombers left the Wittman base in the US state of Missouri, heading to the island of Guam in the Pacific Ocean.
Al -Jazeera correspondent said that 6 bombers moved west and joined by aircraft with fuel from Oklahoma and continued their way towards the west, and explained that the air navigation monitoring sites confirmed that the bombers left the American land and became over the Pacific Ocean towards the island of Guam, which includes an American military base.
These developments are in the midst of speculation about the possibility of the United States to involve the unprecedented confrontation that has been going on for more than a week between its ally Israel and Iran.
US President Donald Trump said he would decide within two weeks whether the United States would join Israel in its war on Iran.
The US Department of Defense reported earlier that the Nemitz aircraft carrier, which was sailing in the southern Sea of China, changed its destination to move to the Middle East. Washington also re -directed about 30 fuel -supplied aircraft from the United States to military bases in Europe.
