The Israeli army has bombed at least three refugee camps in Gaza, with the latest strike targeting the al-Maghazi camp, where nearly 50 people died, Palestinian officials said.

At least 10,022 Palestinians, including 4,104 children, have been killed during 31 days of relentless Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, Gaza’s health ministry said Monday, with many victims still trapped under the rubble. and the Israeli siege drying off access to vital goods. such as fuel, food and electricity.

The recent air raid on the al-Maghazi camp, in central Gaza and located in the evacuation zone where Israel had urged Palestinians to take refuge, followed attacks on the The Jabalia and Bureij refugee camps which Palestinian officials say have killed more than 200 people.

“The unfolding catastrophe makes the need for a humanitarian ceasefire more urgent with each passing hour,” UN chief Antonio Guterres urged on Monday.

“The nightmare in Gaza is much more than a humanitarian crisis,” Guterres said. “It’s a crisis of humanity.”

He stressed that Israeli attacks took place not only on refugee camps, but also on hospitals, mosques, churches and United Nations facilities.
