The follow-up committee called for the national and Islamic forces to open a serious and real strategic dialogue between what it described as the living forces of the Palestinian people.
The committee said – in a statement today, Saturday – that targeting the West Bank and attempts to Judaize it deserves to push the national community to this step.
She stressed the need for the Palestinian people to prepare for a different stage of struggle, which requires achieving national unity and agreeing on a comprehensive national strategy to manage the conflict with the occupation in all areas of occupied Palestine, as well as agreeing on a national action program to manage public Palestinian affairs.
She added that 8 and a half months have passed since the genocidal war waged by the occupation against the Gaza Strip, with its people, trees and stones, in which the occupation committed all the atrocities, massacres and holocausts. The current strategic saying is: “If Gaza is the center of the war and the eye is on the north, then the essence of the conflict is in The occupied West Bank.
The statement indicated that the behavior of the occupation in dealing with the West Bank at the level of political statements and field actions indicates the true intentions of the occupation towards the West Bank.
The statement explained that “the enemy considers the West Bank one of the fronts on which he is currently fighting, and gives free rein to the settlers and their arming, and cancels the disengagement from the northern West Bank, and the unprecedented rush in establishing settlements, daily incursions and assassinations, and finally the dangerous leaks of the criminal (Finance Minister Bezalel) Smotrich, in which he was explicitly announced.” About the secret plans that are still being implemented in the West Bank in agreement with (Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu, which translates the description of the government to resolve the conflict. All of this indicates Netanyahu’s intentions to offer the West Bank as a prize to appease his crazy allies.”
The statement of the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces criticized what it considered the silence of the Palestinian Authority to confront these challenges in the West Bank, and its insistence on continuing on the same path that has proven its failure for years.
In conjunction with its devastating war on Gaza since October 7, the Israeli occupation army expanded its incursions and operations into the West Bank, leaving as of Saturday 553 Palestinian martyrs, including 133 children, in addition to about 5,200 wounded, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
While that war, which enjoyed absolute American support, left approximately 123,000 Palestinians martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of dozens of children.
