In a statement, the Israeli army said Tayasir’s control over Jenin in the north of the West Bank on Tuesday.

The Israeli point of sale Ynet reported that the striker, armed with an automatic rifle M-16, opened fire at close range on a soldier out of a fortified bunker, leading to a shooting that lasted several minutes.

According to the Israeli ambulance service, eight soldiers were also injured in the attack.

The Israeli army launched a major offensive nicknamed “Iron Wall” on the territory last month, shortly after the ceasefire was agreed in Gaza.

Israel has also tightened its measures on existing control points and erected new ones through the occupied West Bank. At least 900 control points of this type, doors and mounds of dirt have cut the Palestinian communities and made the movement almost impossible between villages, cities and cities.

The deadly Israeli raids have continued for 15 days in Jenin, nine in Tulkarem and three in Tubas where two sites were bombed on Tuesday morning. At least 70 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured and detained by Israeli forces this year. The figure includes 44 people killed since the Israeli army launched its last operation.

The Ministry of Health said that 10 children, a woman and two elderly Palestinians are among those killed by the Israeli army.

The United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) said that Jenin’s refugee camp was heading for a “catastrophic direction” after a new Israeli military operation has leveled several buildings.

UNRWA spokesperson Juliette Touma told Geneva journalists that large parts of the camp had been “completely destroyed in a series of detonations by Israeli forces”.

Israel’s attacks in the Tulkarem refugee camp have moved three -quarters of the Palestinians in the region, said Faisal Salama, head of the Popular Services Committee in the camp.

Doctors Without Borders, known by its French initials MSF, condemned Israeli attacks on Monday.

“Since the ceasefire has been implemented in Gaza, there has been an escalation of extreme violence occurring through the West Bank, especially in Jenin, Tulkarem and Tobas. It is unacceptable, ”said the organization in an article on X.

He warned that the blockade of Israel on Jenin caused by the current operation leads to a shortage of “vital” supplies.
