“Palestine Action” is a British anti -Israel movement Encyclopedia

A British movement in support of Palestine, working to stop Britain’s dealings with Israel, opposes the arms trade supporting Israeli military operations and seeks to stop them, and calls for stopping the apartheid regime and genocide practiced by the occupation against the Palestinians.

Facility and establishment

The “Palestine Action” movement was established in July 2020, and launched its first campaigns by storming a weapons factory in Leicester, England, and its members took pictures of the drones during their production, in addition to the occupation of the building for a week, which completely stopped production.

The organization says it has caused millions of dollars in losses to “El Pets Systems”, the largest Israeli weapons company owned by the private sector in Britain, and was able to close two of the 10 factories of the company in the United Kingdom, which resulted in the arrest of more than 250 activists of its members.

The aforementioned company provides the Israeli army with about 85% of wild and air munitions and its drones that it uses in daily monitoring and regular attacks, in addition to all components of Israeli aircraft.

The reason for the foundation

The movement originated mainly because it considers Britain one of the main reasons for Israel to continue its criminal policies towards the Palestinians.

The movement always reminds the history of British -Israeli relations that started from the Balfour Declaration in 1917, paving the prelude to declaring the establishment of Israel in 1948, and continuous collusion in its support for its continuous aggression against the Palestinians.

The group stated in a post at its expense that the Balfour Declaration in 1917 was a reason for the loss of the Palestinians of their homeland, and added that it is keen to remind the historical role of Britain in occupying Palestine and its continuous role in supporting Israel.

The movement says that Britain bears a “stigma of a century of colonization of Palestine”, and confirms that it has consistently appealed to the UK authorities to end this “collusion and colonialism”, calling on the British people to move because it is “the only one who is able to end this collusion.”

The most prominent campaigns

In 2022, a campaign for the organization resulted in the cancellation of contracts worth 280 million pounds (about 353.6 million dollars) between the British Ministry of Defense and “El Pet Systems”.

In January 2022, the movement forced the company “Elit Systems” to sell its “El Peta Virane” factory in the British city of Oldham, following successive campaigns targeting the factory and lasted more than a year.

The company was forced to leave its headquarters in London on June 20, 2022 after a series of protests organized by the movement, accusing it of violating the rights of the Palestinian people.

In September 2023, the British Employment Company “I O Associated” deleted the ads of “Elbit Systems” from its website, a day after the activists of the “Palestine Action” movement protested.

In November 2023, the American Organization of the Movement “Palestine Action” (the United States Action “(his name later changed to” Yonte of Fields “) a factory of Ebit Systems in New Hampshire, and as a result of criminal charges to 3 of its activists because of their disruption of the factory operations, and 9 others were arrested in the cities of Cambridge and Massachusetts on charges of trying to sabotage the facility The company.

In December 2023, “Palestine Action” was able to persuade the “OSOSTES” company to cut its relations with Ebit Systems after a series of demonstrations in front of its headquarters, and was able to close a number of Israeli company factories and forced dozens of companies to cut their ties with them.

In 2023 alone, “Palestine Action” caused losses of millions of pounds to the company.

With the escalation of crimes against humanity in Palestine, the organization’s measures were more intensified, amid a continuous attack from the Zionist lobby, as documents published by the British newspaper “The Guardian” revealed that Elit Systems and the Israeli government practiced pressure on the police, public prosecution and government ministers with the aim of suppressing the group, and these pressures reached the point of demanding the prohibition of the movement.

The documents also included an email sent by the British Prosecutor Douglas Wesson to the representatives of the Israeli embassy, in which he said that he raised issues on behalf of the Israeli embassy with his colleagues in the Ministry of Interior regarding the ability of law officers and the Prosecutor’s Office to interfere in the independent decisions of the Royal Prosecution and Case.

Procedures and prosecutions

At a time when “Palestine Action” witnessed stalled trials and patents for activists, indications of attempts to influence the jurors began to appear, and its members are subjected to arrest campaigns, police investigations, arrests at the airport, and distortion campaigns.

A number of activists in support of the Palestinian cause in Britain faced legal charges and prosecutions under the “law of terrorism” in late 2024, which caused a shock and a widespread score among jurists, associations and advocacy organizations in Palestine in the United Kingdom, and these follow -ups increased severely after a few weeks of the workers ’assumption of leadership in the country.

Among these activists was Richard Bernard – one of the founders of the “Palestine Action” organization – the charge of violating the law of terrorism, against the backdrop of several speeches in the cities of Manchester and Bradford after October 7, 2023 and the outbreak of the war on Gaza.

The anti -terrorist police charged him with “expressing an opinion in support of an organization classified as terrorist, in violation of Chapter 12 of the Law of Terrorism.”

This was not the only charge against him, as he was also pursued on charges of “encouraging sabotage.”

In the same period, the British police arrested a number of activists of the “Palestine Action” organization against the background of storming several factories, accusing them of manufacturing weapons that were delivered to the Israeli army, and these activists carried out similar storming operations for the Israeli weapons company “Elit Systems”.

In response to the policies of the US President on the Gaza Strip, its proposal to empty the sector of its residents and redevelop it under the American administration, a group of the movement drew slogans in support of Gaza in the Turnberry Golf Resort for US President Donald Trump in Scotland in March 2025.
