The images of Israel and Gaza could not be more different a year since October 7, 2023. As Israel mourned those killed and captured in a Hamas attack for which it was completely unprepared, More Palestinians were forced to leave their homes as the Israeli army launched a fierce attack on the northern Gaza Strip.

In the mainstream Israeli media, the story of mourning rubs shoulders with that of revenge. Many Israeli media outlets ignore, and sometimes encourage, the atrocities in Gaza.
