The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of a Palestinian as a result of being wounded by occupation bullets in Balaa, east of Tulkarm in the West Bank.
The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) said that two other people – one of them a boy – were injured during confrontations that broke out with the Israeli occupation forces after they stormed the towns of Balaa and Anabta, east of Tulkarm.
The agency quoted local sources as saying that the occupation forces stormed the town of Balaa, leading to the outbreak of confrontations that resulted in the young man, Karim Raeq Abdel Raouf Imair (23 years old), being critically injured, after which he was transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarm, where medical teams declared him dead as a result of his injuries.
Citing local sources, it was reported that the occupation forces fired bullets at another young man, leaving him bleeding on the ground. They prevented ambulance crews from transporting him and providing treatment to him, and fired bullets at citizens who tried to reach him to save him, without knowing the nature of his injury.
The agency also reported that a 16-year-old boy was injured during confrontations with the occupation forces following their storming of the town of Anabta, where Palestinian Red Crescent Society ambulance crews transferred him to the hospital.
In the same context, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces stormed the house of the martyr Al-Qassami Tamer Faqha, the perpetrator of the Beit Lied operation, early last November, who was martyred by occupation bullets on May 4 of this year in the town of Deir Al-Ghusoun.

The reporter also reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Dura, south of Hebron, and the town of Sa’ir, north of it.
Canadian sanctions on settlers
On the other hand, the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, Thursday, imposed sanctions on 4 extremist Israeli settlers directly involved in acts of violence against Palestinian civilians and their property in the West Bank.
The ministry said in a statement that attacks by extremist Israeli settlers – a long-term source of tension and conflict in the region – have escalated in a disturbing manner in recent months in the West Bank.
The statement stressed that acts of violence committed by extremist Israeli settlers in the West Bank undermine the human rights of Palestinians and the prospects for reaching a two-state solution, and pose great risks to regional security.
Canada pledged to consider additional measures in response to the serious violation of international peace and security resulting from their violent and destabilizing actions against Palestinian civilians and their property in the West Bank.
During the past few days, settlers have expanded their attacks across the West Bank against Palestinians, targeting trucks heading to Gaza several times and looting a number of them.
In parallel with its ongoing war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, which led to the killing of 503 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 5,000, and the arrest of about 8,755, according to official Palestinian statistics.
The Israeli aggression on Gaza left more than 114,000 dead and wounded – most of them children and women – and about 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
Israel continues the war despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and also despite the fact that the International Court of Justice demanded immediate measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
