The director of the Indonesian hospital in Gaza said on Saturday that Israeli tanks were bombing the hospital, surrounding the entire building and cutting off its electricity, stressing that there were severe risks surrounding medical staff and patients.
The hospital director explained that the occupation forces targeted the second and third floors of the hospital with artillery shells, indicating that the occupation aims to destroy what remains of the health system to force residents to leave.
The hospital director called on the international community to intervene to save what remained of the health system in the Gaza Strip, while the Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent said that Israeli vehicles had begun demolishing parts of the Indonesian hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.
“Disastrous situation”
Earlier, the director of Al Awda Hospital told Tel Aviv Tribune that the health sector situation is catastrophic, in light of the lack of medical supplies, and the situation in the northern sector is indescribable, as the number of martyrs is expected to rise in the coming hours due to the lack of medical capabilities.
A medical source also told Tel Aviv Tribune that the medical teams at Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda hospitals are unable to deal with the many injuries resulting from the continuous occupation bombing.
Meanwhile, an official at the Ministry of Health in Gaza told Tel Aviv Tribune that a number of civilians died of hunger and thirst inside homes in Jabalia due to the ongoing siege, and the bodies of dozens of martyrs are scattered in the streets of Jabalia as a result of the continuous bombing.
The occupation had previously targeted the Indonesian Hospital and other hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip several times, leaving hundreds of martyrs and wounded, in addition to repeating allegations late last year that the hospital had a relationship with Palestinian factions or the use of tunnels under it, which was denied at the time by the Indonesian Medical Rescue and Emergency Committee (Merci – Indonesia), which She supervised the construction and financing of the hospital.
33 martyrs
The occupation forces intensified their bombing and raids in the past hours, as the siege imposed on Jabalia camp approaches its third week.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that 33 martyrs and more than 70 were wounded as a result of the Israeli bombing on a number of homes at the Nassar Junction in Jabalia Camp, late last Friday evening, while the Gaza Government Information Office said that among the martyrs were 21 women.
The correspondent also confirmed that the number of martyrs in the bombing of Tal al-Zaatar in northern Gaza had risen to 30 martyrs, including 20 children and women, in addition to the death of two people and several injuries in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house in the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
This toll brings the number of martyrs as a result of the Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip since dawn on Friday to 64 martyrs, including 45 in Jabalia camp.
The government media office in the Gaza Strip said that the “Israeli” occupation army continues a war of extermination and eradication in the Jabalia camp.
The office stated – in a statement – that the massacre committed by the occupation as a result of the bombing of Tal Al-Zaatar coincides with the collapse of the health situation in the northern Gaza Strip governorate.
The statement condemned the “moral slippage” of the countries of the world that are silently watching the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people, especially what is currently happening in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip governorate.
The statement held the Israeli occupation, the American administration, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and the countries participating in the genocide fully responsible for the continuation of the crime of genocide.
For his part, the director of government information in Gaza, Ismail Al-Thawabta, said that the Israeli occupation forces are continuing the war of extermination and eradication in northern Gaza.
This comes in light of the occupation continuing its war on Gaza for the 379th day and announcing yesterday the joining of… Givati Brigade of the 162nd Division, as part of what he called the expansion of the military operation in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip, in light of renewed clashes with the Palestinian resistance in the areas of the incursion.
