Israeli media reported that the Israeli army has put itself on alert and reinforced its forces in the Netzarim axis in the Gaza Strip, fearing that a large number of Gaza residents intend to move from the south of the Strip to its north.

This comes in the wake of “fake” messages circulating on social media in recent days, which said that the Israeli army would allow residents to pass from the southern Gaza Strip to the north.

At the end of last month, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that the Israeli army had expanded the Netzarim corridor, which divides the Gaza Strip into two parts: north and south, according to satellite images.

The newspaper pointed out that this expansion comes within the framework of the military efforts recently made by the Israeli army.

This road is one of the main points of contention in the ongoing ceasefire talks, which have reached a critical stage, as the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) insists on a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demands a mechanism to prevent the movement of militants from the southern Gaza Strip to its north.

Since October 7, Israel has been waging a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip with American support, leaving more than 133,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 10,000 missing.

Despite the UN Security Council resolutions to immediately stop the war, and the International Court of Justice orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Israel continues its military campaign, ignoring international resolutions.
